Top Nine Reasons Why the Galactica Didn't Reach Earth
9. Couldn't find parking space.
8. Lots of signs saying
   No shoes,
   No solar system,
   No service
7. In a pubescent mood swing, Dr. Zee turned the Galactica around and
   demanded they go home.
6. Adama had grown so old he forgot where they were going in the first
   place.
5. Didn't have enough cubits to pay toll.
4. Had to go back for the Folger's Crystals
3. Pilot's lisence expired.
2. If they did, the show would be over.

1. No visas!

O.K., so a few did reach Earth, but the majority stayed in space.
