That they may have been the architects of the great pyramids, or the lost civilizations of Lemuria or Atlantis. Some believe that there may yet be brothers of man who even now fight to survive, somewhere beyond the heavens. Commander Adama's Journal Stardate: 26 January, 1990 It's been 12 yahrens since the beginning of our rough mission to find the shinning planet known as Earth. We've battled the Cylons, Borjays, and other enemies. We've succeeded on most. Earth is still a distant planet somewhere in the galaxy. The last known battlestar, Galactica, is my home. There has been many changes to the crew of our battlestar, which is good. Starbuck adopted a young Caprican girl by the name of Kavyn. She was adopted a couple of yahrens before he and Cassie were sealed. Kavyn is a beauty, no wonder all of the male Blue Squadron fighters are itching to ask her out. To their dismay, Boxey, my grandson, is her current steady. Kavyn has the talent of playing that wretched game, Pyramid, like Starbuck and the wit of Cassiopeia. From what I heard about Kavyn playing pyramid, she can beat everyone including her father (it was bound to happen). My son, Apollo and Sheba are happily married. They only have one child, Boxey. Their love for each other wasn't at first sight. At first, Apollo and Sheba hated each other. After Sheba and Boxey's Viper crashed on a planet in the Alpha Delta sector and Boxey was almost killed, Apollo and Sheba were closer than ever. But, Boxey titles Sheba as his mother, now, but the memory of Serina is coming back on the day she pasted away and the Cylons killing her still haunts him. Speaking of Boxey, he's now 18 yahrens. He's out grown his pudgy body and now he's built like his father, Apollo. He is now a rookie in the Blue Squadron. Boxey and Kavyn have been steady for 5 yahrens. Muffey is still his partner in crime and loyal friend. Athena and Bojay got married. They are happy and have a daughter named Diana. She is six yahrens. She looks just like Athena Diana adores Boxey, Kavyn, and Muffey. As for me, I'm old and worn out. I still believe Earth is out there in space. I know we'll find it. ONE: Inside the Rejuvenation Room, two people played a Triad simulation. One was a little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. Other was a Blue Squadron rookie with brown hair and eyes. "My point! I win!" squealed Diana. She jumped up and down, clapping her little hands. Her blonde pigtails flapped in the air. "I win! I win!" Diana began to chant. "Oh felgercarb!" Boxey looked at his cousin and crossed his arms. "I know you win, now you can stop it." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a bag. "Here's your mushies." He handed the bag to Diana. Diana ran to the couch and jump on a cushion. She reached inside the bag and pulled out a mushie. Boxey sat next to her. "You want one?" asked Diana. Boxey looked at the bag. "Well, are you sure?" asked Boxey. Diana nodded as she ate the second mushie. Boxey reached in and pulled one out. "Can I come with you on your next mission, Boxey?" asked Diana before she popped the third mushie in her mouth. She waited for his answer. "I can get in a lot of trouble with you parents and mine." said Boxey. He took another mushie. These aren't that bad. thought Boxey. "Please?" pleaded Diana. She nudged Boxey in the arm. "I can't ." answered Boxey. "What happens if we get blown up or the Viper crashes..." Diana cut in. "You mean like when you and Sheba crashed?" asked Diana. "Uh...well....yeah. I don't want you to get hurt. After the mission I'll take you and Muffey out for a ride." said Boxey. "Really?" asked Diana in disbelief. "Won't you have to ask Grandpa?" "Yeah. But I know how to get on his soft side." replied Boxey. Diana threw her arms around Boxey. "Thank you!" "Your welcome." said Boxey. He popped the mushie in his mouth. Diana took another mushie and walked to the Triad simulation. Boxey shook his head. "No." he said. "Please Boxey?" asked Diana. Boxey rolled his eyes and walked over to Diana. "One more." Diana smiled. She began to press the buttons on the simulation. Boxey did the same. Athena walked into the Rec room. She was searching for Boxey and Diana. Jolly told her that the two were in the Rec room. Athena peered inside. She saw Diana and Boxey asleep on the couch. A bag of mushies laid beside them. Athena walked over to them and Boxey's shoulder gently. Boxey woke up and saw Athena. "Hi." said Boxey. He held Diana in his arms and stood up. The little girl remained asleep. "Well, I see you both are tried." said Athena. She brushed a piece of blonde hair off of Diana's face. "Do you want me to bring her back to my quarters? You look exhausted." Boxey shook his head. "I'll carry her." answered Boxey. He followed Athena down to her quarters. "There we are. Page me when you get back to your quarters, Boxey." said Athena. She held Diana in her arms. Athena kissed Boxey. "Bye." whispered Boxey. He kissed Athena on the cheek. He began to head to his quarters. Boxey forgot the mushies in the Rec room. He dashed down the hall. The room was dark. Boxey shivered as he entered the Rec room. He made his way over to the couch. Boxey heard a click. He turned around. A Cylon stood behind him. He took out his laser gun and began to shoot at it. The Cylon shot back. Boxey hit the Cylon in the chest. Boxey ran up to the pager, which was next to the simulation of Triad. Before Boxey could press a button to call for help, a hand with a piece of cloth grabbed him. The hand shoved the cloth over Boxey's mouth and pressed again him. Boxey struggled to break free. Slowly, Boxey's eyelids began to close. The Cylon let go of Boxey's limp body and let it hit the simulation. The Cylon and the dead Cylon disappeared. Athena paced her quarters. Bojay looked at his wife. "What's wrong?" asked Bojay. He stood up and walked up to Athena. "It's been a centar since Boxey left here. Where is he?" Athena asked. "He could of forgotten, honey." replied Bojay. He wrapped his arms around Athena. "I'm going to just check." said Athena. She walked over to the computer. "Fine with me." mumbled Bojay. "Computer, where is Boxey located?" asked Athena. She crossed her arms and waited. "Boxey is located in the Rec room on level four." said the computer. Athena took her laser gun and dashed to the Rec room. Diana came out of her room with a fuzzy brown stuffed rabbit. "Where's Mama going?" asked Diana. She rubbed her eyes. "She's going to make sure Boxey is safe." Bojay picked Diana up and kissed her forehead. "How could anyone put up with him?" asked Diana. Bojay laughed. "But, Boxey is the nicest guy you'll meet." "I know that, daddy." Diana kissed Bojay on the cheek. Athena looked inside of the Rec room. She remembered when herself, Boomer, Boxey, and Muffey were trapped inside because of a fire. A limp form laid next to the simulation. Athena slowly walked over to the form. She drew her laser gun and pointed it at the limp found. Athena got a closer look. "Boxey!" yelled Athena. She dropped her laser gun and knelt beside Boxey. Athena shook his shoulders. Slowly, Boxey regain consciousness. At first he forgot where he was, then Boxey looked at his aunt. Everything came back to him. Boxey moaned. "What happened?" "That's what I would like to know." answered Athena. She looked at Boxey with sympathy. "Are you alright?" "I'm fine." said Boxey. He began to stand up. His aunt pulled him back down. "Hey!" "Stay put!" ordered Athena. She stood up and paged Sick Bay. She turned to Boxey. "What happened?" "Two Cylons attacked me." said Boxey. "One I shot and the other knocked me out with chloroform!" Athena looked at him. "What are you talking about?" asked Athena. "The Cylons are gone. We kill them off a yahren ago. Remember your father was wounded?" Boxey was stumped. He knew about the last battle with the Cylons and how his father, Apollo, was wounded. Boxey was sure the Cylons were on the Galactica. "I swear it was them! Honest!" "I think you hit yourself on the simulation. Dr. Salik will look at you." said Athena. She turned her head. Med Tech ran into the room. Cassiopeia knelt on Boxey's left. "What happened?" asked Cassie. "Two Cylons attacked me." said Boxey. The Med Tech was puzzled. "This might hurt, Boxey." said Cassie. She took a needle out. "I swear the Cylons are still in existence!" said Boxey. "I'm not lying." Boxey began to feel drowsy. "I swear........." Boxey drifted in to a deep sleep. TWO: Dr. Salik took a pen out and wrote down something on a clipboard. Cassie stood over Boxey. She took his blood pressure. Kavyn dashed into the examining room. She still was wearing her jacket from her routine Viper route. Lt. Jolly told her Boxey was in Sick Bay after she had landed in Viper Bay. "What's wrong with Boxey?" asked Kavyn. She stood over her boyfriend and held his hand. Cassie looked at her daughter with surprise. "How did you get in here?" "I ran." answered Kavyn. She was known for her snappy answers towards adults. "What's wrong with him?" "Boxey was found in the Rec room by Athena. He told us two Cylons attacked him." said Dr. Salik. He tapped the clip board. Kavyn looked at the doctor for a moment. "What?" "The Cylons have been gone for a whole yahren. He was having illusions." said Dr. Salik. "I believe him." mumbled Kavyn. "What?" chorused Cassie and Dr. Salik. "I know the Cylons are gone, but we don't know that." replied Kavyn. Dr. Salik nodded. "I'm going to release Boxey by tonight. Can he stay with you?" Kavyn nodded. The doctor motioned Cassie to revive Boxey. Cassie stuck a needle into Boxey's arm. "It might take a while Boxey to regain his senses." said Dr. Salik. "You have my permission to leave after he's up and about." The doctor and Cassie went to see another patient, who was injured in the Viper route. Kavyn pulled a chair up to the exam table and at looked at Boxey's topless upper body. Boxey opened his eyes slowly. He turned his head and smiled at Kavyn. "Hey you." he whispered. Kavyn stood up and held Boxey's hand. She kissed it and put it on her cheek. "I missed you." "Me too." Boxey sat up and rebuttoned his top. Boxey stood up and pulled Kavyn close to him. "How was Viper route?" "Boring." sighed Kavyn. "You weren't here." She kissed his nose. Boxey's smiled turned stern. "You heard what happened, huh?" Kavyn nodded. "Think I'm crazy?" asked Boxey. He looked down at the floor. Kavyn lifted his chin with her finger. "Don't you ever say that. They don't if the Cylons and Baltar are destroyed or not. I believe you." Kavyn smiled at Boxey's sad expression. Boxey looked at Kavyn and grinned. "How come you make me so happy?" "I have lots of talent." said Kavyn. "We better get you to my quarters." "I'd like that." Boxey grinned. Kavyn looked at her boyfriend and pushed him. "Very funny. I'm being quiet serious. You need rest." Kavyn said firmly. "Yes mother," said Boxey. He kissed Kavyn's forehead. "Come on." Kavyn lead Boxey out of Sick Bay and down the hall. Kavyn walked over to Boxey with a cup of tea. He was laying down on the couch with a blanket over his body. Boxey looked at Kavyn and smiled. "This will make you feel better." said Kavyn. Boxey some of the tea and made a face. "It's too hot." "It's hard to cook cold, Boxey." said Kavyn. She kissed Boxey's forehead. "I know that." said Boxey in a soft voice. He place the cup on a table by the couch. Kavyn laid next to Boxey and felt his arms wrap around her body. "Don't worry about what anyone says, Boxey." said Kavyn. "I'm not worried. They weren't there in the Rec room, so how would they know?" replied Boxey sleepily. "When Jolly told me you were in Sick Bay, I thought you were in trouble. Sometimes you scare me, Boxey." said Kavyn. "I'm worried about leaving you alone in this room." Boxey kissed Kavyn's shoulder. "I'll be fine, Kavyn." "That's what your father said when you and Sheba crashed." Kavyn remember the horrible scene in her head. She walked into the clearing and saw a downed Viper. The nose was in pieces and the canopy was smashed in. Two figures rested inside, one seriously injuried, the other was with a broken leg. Kavyn could of vomitted right there if she could have. Boxey sighed. "Nothing will happen." "I know, but I love you so much." said Kavyn. "I love you, too." mumbled Boxey. He closed his eyes. "Boxey?" asked Kavyn. She turned her head and saw Boxey asleep. Kavyn stood up and kissed his lips. "I love you." A beep came from the door. "Come in." said Kavyn softly. Apollo walked in. He smiled at Kavyn. "How's Boxey?" "He's fine." said Kavyn. She held the cup of tea in her hand. "How are you and Sheba doing?" "We're fine." answered Apollo. "I heard Boxey said two Cylons attacked him." "It can happen. We don't know if the Cylons are gone for sure." said Kavyn. Dumped the tea out. "Still, it's too weird." said Apollo. He crossed his arms. Kavyn sighed. "When's Blue Squadron's next routine flight?" "Two days from now. I need to get back to my quarters." He kissed Kavyn on the cheek. "Thanks." He left. Kavyn went into her room to get ready for bed. Sheba laid in bed waiting for Apollo to return from Kavyn's quarters. The door opened and Apollo stood in the doorway. "So?" asked Sheba. She got out of bed and hugged Apollo. "He's doing better. I'm worried, what if it was the Cylons. They might try to pull some game on us." answered Apollo with a worried frown on his face. "Then, have some officers watch the quarters." suggested Sheba. "Honey, Boxey is in Kavyn's quarters. She probably is keeping watch for Cylons." Apollo sighed. "Maybe you are right, I worry to much about him." "No, you are a good father to him." said Sheba. She kissed Apollo on the lips. Starbuck sat in the bunkers with his old friends playing Pyramid. All of the rookies watched Boomer deal the cards. Kavyn came into the bunkers and all of the rookies looked at her with their mouths hanging open. Starbuck cocked his head and smiled at Kavyn. "Well, hello there." said Starbuck. He pulled a seat out and patted. "Join us, darling." Kavyn giggled. Her father had a tendency to embarrass her with little jesters. She sat down and flashed her steady ring at the rookies. "You can stop drooling boys. Kavyn has a boyfriend." said Boomer in a cheerful voice. "That she does." said Boxey as he walked in. He was dressed in uniform. "Hello Boxey, have a seat, a deck, a cigar..." replied Starbuck in a cheerful voice. "Uh, no thanks Starbuck. I try to keep off the cigars." answered Boxey. Kavyn grabbed Starbuck cigar out of his hand. "You should ,too." Starbuck frowned at Kavyn who gave the cigar to Boomer. Boomer puffed on the cigar happily. Kavyn looked at Boxey. "I thought you were asleep." "I was until you left." answered Boxey. The players began to play an endless game. "Okay Kavyn, this round is for all of the goods, got that?" asked Boomer. Kavyn nodded. She showed her cards to Starbuck, who grinned. Boxey had gone back to Kavyn's quarters for some rest. Boomer placed his cards on the table. "I win." Kavyn placed her cards on the table and took the pot. "See you guys later." THREE: Diana and Muffey stood outside of Kavyn's quarters. She had a bag of mushies in her little hands. Kavyn opened the door. "Hello Diana." Kavyn hugged the little girl and took her by the hand into the main room. "Where's Boxey?" asked Diana. She looked around the room. "He's getting dressed." answered Kavyn. Diana sat on the couch. "He forgot the mushies in the Rec room." She stuck her hand inside the bag and pulled out a mushie. Kavyn sat next to her. Diana licked her fingers and took a tissue to wipe her hands off. "Why are you dressed in your uniform?" asked Diana. "Council meeting. All of the new rookies from the squadrons have to wear their uniforms to a meeting." said Kavyn. "After the meeting, can I play you in a game of Pyramid?" asked Diana. "Well, it's about time you learned. It's fine with me." Kavyn looked at the blonde headed girl with two braid pigtails. "Yippee!" shouted the girl. She clapped her hands. Boxey came out of Kavyn's room. He held his boots in his right hand. Diana shot up and ran over to greet her cousin. "Boxey!" She threw her arms around his waist. "Hey Diana. Aren't you suppose to be instructional period?" Boxey pick Diana up and walked over to the couch. Diana shrugged. "So? I'd rather stay here." "We need to get to that meeting, Diana." said Boxey. "I'll walk you down to the Rec room." "What about my ride?" asked Diana . She stood up and put her hands on her hips. "Tomorrow, I promise." said Boxey. He stood up and put Diana on his shoulders. Kavyn looked at Boxey and kissed him. "Owwww!" giggled Diana. Boxey looked up at his cousin and frowned. He began to head out of the room. Kavyn put her Viper jacket on and dashed after them. "As to last night's accident in the Rec room, I think we should take precautions with the Cylons." said Commander Adama. "We don't know if they are destroyed for good." He paced the front of the council room. "No duh." whispered Boxey to Kavyn. "For once they figured something out!" Kavyn pressed her finger against Boxey's mouth. Apollo, Starbuck, and Boomer stood next to them. They chuckled. Sire Uri stood up. "Commander, you are right, but no one has filled us in on the accident yet. Maybe you could tell us?" Sire Uri sat back and grinned to himself. Adama motioned Boxey to come forward. Boxey walked to the front of the room and faced the Council of Twelve. Sire Dorma stood up. "I don't want a child to tell us what happened!" protested Dorma. He shook his finger at Boxey. "Well, Sire, if you want to know what happened, you better sit and listen because I'm telling no matter how much you hate it!!" yelled Boxey. His face turned red with anger. I wonder who's the child, you old miser. Dorma sat back in his seat, dumbfounded. The council looked at Boxey. "You may continued." said Adama. Apollo, Starbuck, Kavyn, and Boomer chuckled. Adama looked at them with a stern face. They stopped and listened. "As you may have heard, last night an attack accrued in the Rec room...." "What was the centar?" asked Sire Uri. "I think about 1200 centars." answered Boxey. "You think! Adama, the boy doesn't even know what happened!" yelled Dorma. He shot up in his seat. "Sire Dorma, I order you to keep you mouth shut or I'll have to ask you to leave the meeting." said Adama. Dorma sat back down. "As you were, Boxey." said Sire Uri. He gave Boxey a pleasant smile. "One of the Blue Squadron rookies was attack by two Cylons." began Boxey for the second time. Dorma let out a snobby laugh. "Do you have a problem with this report, Sire?" asked Boxey. "Yes I do. You are giving the report!" yelled Dorma. Kavyn began to walk up to Dorma, but Starbuck grabbed her arm. "Easy girl." he said softly. Kavyn shook off her father's hand and walked up to the head of the room. Boxey looked at her. "What are you doing?" whispered Boxey between his teeth. "I'm giving the report." Kavyn pushed him out of the way. "What is that girl doing at the front of the room? Get her out of here! No women belongs in here!" yelled Dorma. "Well, if you were Starbuck's daughter, that's a way different story, Dorma." said Kavyn, politely. She lined the papers up. "Now sit on your ass and listen!" yelled Kavyn. Dorma was silent. "Now, from the beginning. Last night at 1200 centars, there was an accident. A Blue Squadron rookie was attack by Cylons." said Kavyn. "If I may interrupt for a moment, dear, is the rookie sure that the attackers were Cylons?" asked Montrose. "I dunno, ask Boxey." said Kavyn. "He was the rookie." Everyone in the room gasp. Boxey began to blush. "Well, what would you except from Boxey. He's always in trouble!" said Kavyn. She threw her hands in the arm. Boxey hit his hand on his forehead. "Like Adama said, we don't know if the Cylons are gone. End of decision." Kavyn walked out of the room. Adama walked to the front of the room. "Thank you, Kavyn." Boxey looked at his grandfather and smiled. He dashed out of the room. "And Boxey." added Adama. "Now, there's our report on last nights accident, any questions?" All of the members stood up. "Kavyn!" yelled Boxey. "Kavyn!" Boxey ran up to his girlfriend and grabbed her. "What were you thinking?" He kissed Kavyn's cheek. "Nothing." said Kavyn. She turned around and kissed Boxey on the lips. "So, what did you think?" "Very interesting." Boxey pulled Kavyn closer to him. "You are really asking for it by the council after that senior prank." Kavyn laughed. She and Boxey rigged the meeting room with "Flying Eggs" and whoopee cushions. "Well, they won't listen to you, so a woman must take over." Starbuck, Apollo, and Boomer looked at them. "This isn't the time or the place. We have Cylons raiders coming!" Boxey grabbed Kavyn by the hand and dashed down the hallway. "Viper 7, please stand by for take off." said Rigel from the bridge. "Standing by." said Boxey. The canopy closed over his head. "Boxey, good luck." said Kavyn. "Thanks, you too." said Boxey. "Viper 7, proceed to take off." said Rigel. Boxey pressed the throttle and he zoomed down the runway. Soon half of the squadrons were out in space. "The Cylon raiders are 5 microns and closing." said Kavyn. She looked at her scanner. "4 microns and closing." "Blue Squadron leader to Red Squadron leader, attack at 2 microns." said Apollo. "3 microns and closing." said Kavyn. "Attack!" ordered Apollo. The squadrons flew out in all directions. Boxey flew out farther than the other Vipers. He shot at a raider and it exploded. Five other raiders flew after him. Boxey flew towards the Galactica. Kavyn, Starbuck, and Athena intercepted the five raiders. One of the five raiders flew after Boxey. Boxey flew over the Galactica and shot at the raider. The raider shot back. Boxey took a sharp downward turn and went back up. He shot at the raider again and it exploded. "Nice shooting!" said Kavyn. She shot at a raider. Boxey flew across the sky and went farther from the Galactica. He shot down two raiders. "Blue Squadron leader, five raiders incoming the Galactica." said Sheba. She turned her Viper around. "Boxey, stay in your position and notify me if anymore raiders are coming." said Apollo. Boxey shot at a raider. "No prob!" The squadrons shot at the raiders. Boxey stayed out of the crossfire. He shot at one more raider. "Hey Boxey, come in for a landing." said Apollo. Boxey turned his Viper around and turboed to the Galactica. All of the Vipers were gone. "Viper 7 coming for a landing." said Boxey. A laser shot across the sky and hit Boxey's Viper. The wing was on fire and sparks flew inside the Viper. "Viper 7 to Galactica, my Viper is damaged." Boxey looked at the scanner, two Cylon raiders showed up. "Send some of the Blue Squadron out, I have two raiders on my tail!" Rigel looked at her scanner at the Bridge. "Viper 7, there isn't any raiders out there, what are you talking about?" "They're right behind me!" yelled Boxey. Two raiders showed up on the scanner. "Commander, two raiders are left and Boxey's Viper is damaged." She looked at the commander. Adama walked up to Rigel. "Viper Bay, I request the Blue or Red Squadron to send someone out to Boxey's Viper." said Adama. "Why?" "We have two raiders behind him." Jolly turned to Kavyn. "Get back in your Viper and get out there!" Kavyn saluted and ran to her Viper. The canopy closed over her and Kavyn slipped the helmet on her head. "Viper 3 ready for take off." "Kavyn, this is an emergency, do you know how to take off for this kind of mission?" asked Jolly. "Yes." answered Kavyn. "On the count of three take off to the Desen sector. 1.." began Jolly. Kavyn took a deep breathe. "2..." Kavyn pressed the turbo button and flew out to Boxey. She shot at the first Cylon raider. "It's about time!" yelled Boxey. "Shut up and turbo back to the Galactica." ordered Kavyn. She shot the other raider and flew up to Boxey's Viper. Boxey pressed the turbo button, nothing happened. "Kavyn, nothings is happening." "Hang on." Kavyn looked at the wing. "Go as fast as you can." The Viper didn't move. "Viper 7 to Bridge, all systems down." No one answered. Boxey pressed the turbo. The Viper moved slowly. It picked up speed. Kavyn landed in one of the Viper Tunnels. Sparked flew inside Boxey's Viper and one hit his forehead. "Get out of Viper Bay! The Viper is on fire!" Jolly ordered. Everyone screamed and ran to the hall. Kavyn got out of her Viper and saw Boxey fly in. He ran out of the Viper and grabbed Kavyn. He fell to the ground and a loud explosion rang inside Viper Bay. Kavyn heard pieces of the Viper fly around the room. A piece of the scanner fell next to Kavyn. Firemen ran into Viper Bay and Boxey took Kavyn into the hall. Boxey sat against the wall and wiped his forehead. "What happened to your forehead?" asked Kavyn. "Get out of the hall!" The firemen ran out of the hall. Boxey ran the opposite direction. An explosion rung. Boxey turned around and looked for Kavyn. He ran back to Viper Bay and saw Kavyn on the ground. She laid motionless. Boxey picked her up and ran to Sick Bay. Dr. Salik ran up to Boxey. "What happened." Boxey was out of breath. "A Viper exploded and Viper Bay is on fire." "Cassie!" yelled Dr. Salik. A nurse with blonde hair ran over to the doctor. She looked at her daughter, who was in Boxey's arms. "What happened?" "Nevermind that, take Boxey and get him cleaned up." Dr. Salik took Kavyn out of Boxey's arms. "That looks pretty deep, give him stitches if needed." Cassie lead Boxey into another part of Sick Bay. "Lay down." said Cassie in a motherly voice. She took some cloth and wet it with Hydrogen Peroxide. "This might sting." Boxey nodded as Cassie put the piece of cloth on Boxey's forehead He flinched. Cassie looked at Boxey's forehead. "Does it hurt?" asked Cassie. Boxey nodded. Cassie pressed by the cut. Boxey flinched again. "What's going to happen to Kavyn?" Cassie took a bandage and placed it on Boxey's forehead. She shrugged. "Kavyn will be fine. " Cassie paused. "I'm going to get you into the back room. You are not going into the halls with that fire in Viper Bay." Boxey nodded. "If you are wondering, Starbuck wasn't injured." Cassie smiled and patted Boxey's shoulder. "What about your father and Sheba?" "I dunno. I hope not." He rubbed his head and followed Cassie to one of the back rooms. Med Tech ran by them with a person on a stretcher. It was a woman, who was unrecognizable to the human eye. She face was bloody and burnt. Her uniform was full of holes. Boxey walked passed the Tech and walked into a dark room. Cassie turned the lights on and Boxey sat on the bed in the middle of the room. "Stay here until one of the Red, Purple, or Blue Squadron lieutenants comes to get you." said Cassie. She walked down the hall to the main room. Boxey sat alone in the room. A little girl with a daggit ran inside. Boxey stood up and hugged Diana. Muffit sat on the floor. "How did you get here?" asked Boxey. He stroked Diana's blonde hair. "I heard what happened down in Viper Bay and I came to see if you were alright." said Diana. She looked around the room. "Where's Kavyn?" Boxey knew that Diana would of asked that question. "Kavyn was injured, she is with Dr. Salik." "What about Momma and Daddy?" asked Diana. "They are helping put the fire out." answered Boxey. "What about uncle Apollo and aunt Sheba?" Diana played with her braids and looked up at Boxey. "They are helping your parents." Boxey put Diana on the ground. "I want you to go to Rec room and stay with the kids." Diana dashed out of the room with Muffey. Boxey pulled up one of the blankets and fell asleep on the bed. Starbuck entered Sick Bay. Dr. Salik greeted him at the door. "Kavyn has regained consciousness. She is doing much better." said Dr. Salik. "Follow me." The doctor and Starbuck walked down the hall. Kavyn leaned against a pillow with her hair over her shoulders. She turned her head and smiled at Starbuck. "Hey Daddy." Starbuck walked up to his daughter. "How are you feeling?" Kavyn shrugged. "Is the fire out?" Starbuck nodded. "It's been out for a centar." Someone ran down the hall. "Where's Boxey?" asked Kavyn. She held her father's hand. "He's somewhere in Sick Bay. Boxey's isn't hurt, but they wanted to keep in here until the fire was out. His quarters aren't far from Viper Bay." explained Starbuck. "Okay. When can I go back home?" asked Kavyn. Starbuck turned to Salik. "Today would be fine." Kavyn looked at Starbuck. "Can you run to my quarters and get some clothes so when I leave I have something to wear?" Starbuck ran out of Sick Bay. "Boxey?" Someone shook Boxey's shoulders. He looked up and saw his aunt. She had a sad expression. "What's wrong?" asked Boxey. He sat up. "Something happened to...." Athena broke out in tears. She calmed down. "There was another explosion in Viper Bay and something happened to Sheba." Boxey looked down at the floor. "Is Sheba alright?" Athena sniffed. "Sheba died twenty militrons after she arrived in Sick Bay. I'm sorry." She put her arms around Boxey. He shook them off. "She can't die." Boxey felt hot tears in his eyes. "You're lying!" Athena sat in silence. "Do you want to see her?" Boxey nodded. Athena lead him down the hall. They came into a dark room. "She's at the end. Are you sure?" Boxey nodded and walked down the dark room. He came to the end and pulled a sheet down. Boxey put the sheet back and ran out of Sick Bay. He ran back to his quarters with tears rolling down his face. Apollo walked into the main room of his son's quarters. It was dark and lonely. Apollo entered Boxey's room . "Boxey?" whispered Apollo. It was silent. A figure laid on the bed. Apollo turned around and left the room. Kavyn was coming down the hall. She looked at him with a sad face and embraced Apollo. They both continued down the hall. FOUR: All of the Blue, Purple, and Red Squadrons, the officers, lieutenants, rookies, and other members of the Galactica stood in Viper Bay. Sheba's body was concealed in a tank with a glass top. Commander Adama stood in front of the tank. "Last week's fire in this room, Viper Bay, took the life of one our lieutenants, Lt. Sheba, daughter of Commander Cain of the battlestar, Pegasus, wife of Captain Apollo of the battlestar, Galactica, and mother to Boxey of the battlestar, Galactica." Adama paused for a moment. "We hope Lt. Sheba will rest in peace where ever she may go. We, also, hope Sheba meets her father somewhere in the middle. Lt. Sheba, we hope your journey to the Cross-Over is safe and peaceful. Once again, rest in peace." Starbuck, Boomer, Bojay, and Omega picked up the tank and walked to Hydro room. The whole room followed them. Boxey sat on his bed with his knees touching his chest. He rocked back and forth, slowly. Boxey felt guilty and depressed about what happened to Sheba. The door opened slowly and steadily. Kavyn stood in the doorway. "Hi." Kavyn's voice was flat and emotionless. She walked into the pale light. She wore a black dress with her rookie badge. The dress fell to the ground, but Kavyn was wearing high heels. Boxey turned his head away and gazed out the window. The black sky with the pale light of the stars was brighter than usual. He felt the bed bounce as Kavyn as down next to him. "I know you think it's your fault Sheba is dead, but you couldn't do anything about you Viper's wing on fire. No one could." Kavyn placed her hand on Boxey's shoulder and squeezed it lightly. "I bet if Sheba were here, she rather herself be dead instead of you." Boxey took in a deep breath. "Everyone knows it was my Viper." mumbled Boxey. He wiped his eyes and sighed, shakily. "So?" Kavyn turned Boxey around and looked at him in the eye. "It wasn't your fault, now you remember that." Boxey frowned. "It was my fault when the Imperious Leader almost killed your father and mine." A shiver ran down his spine. Kavyn stood up and crossed her arms. "Boxey, look, I'm saying this one more time, it wasn't your fault." Kavyn paused for a moment and dropped her arms to her side. "Apollo wants you to get rest, you've been one hell of a lot. I'll come by later." She turned and walked to the door. Boxey fell on the couch and looked up at the ceiling. It was a pale white, but in the dark it was a light grey. Someone walked into the room. Boxey sat up and stared at the person. It was Athena. "How's the little rookie holding up?" asked Athena. She leaned in the doorway with her arms folded. Boxey couldn't hold it in any longer. He burst into tears and felt Athena's arms wrap around his body. For once, Boxey felt warmth in Athena's arms as he softly cried. Athena rubbed Boxey's back and squeezed Boxey to make him feel better. "Everything will be alright. I promise." she whispered in Boxey's ears. She lead him to the bed and sat down. "You father will be alright, don't worry Boxey, I'll take care of him." Boxey felt worn out and slowly fell asleep in Athena's arms. Apollo and Starbuck sat in Apollo's quarters. They both held some cards to play Pyramid. Apollo's hands shook with worry. He had completely changed. Apollo's skin was like marble, he had grown thinner and weak, two black circles hung under his eyes like clouds on a rainy day. "I wonder how Boxey is." said Apollo under his breath. He sighed and looked at Starbuck. "Don't look at me!" replied Starbuck. He frowned. "Don't worry, Athena is with him, I bet Boxey is fine. What is your hand?" Apollo looked at the cards. "I'm going to check on him." "In a middle of a game?" Starbuck threw his cards down. Apollo grinned and put down some cards. "See you in a minute...pal." He walked out of the room. Starbuck looked at his cards and stood up. "It's stupid." He went to his quarters. Athena walked into the hallway and saw her brother. She stood in his way. "Don't go in here." "Why not?" asked Apollo. He moved to the left and his sister followed. "He's asleep and Boxey needs a ton of rest." "I'm the captain, sis. You have to let me in." said Apollo. " I hate when you're right!" Athena took her brother by the arm and lead him into Boxey's quarters. Apollo peered in and saw his son asleep. He looked weaker than Apollo and tried. "Boxey looks like a zombie." Athena nodded. "He never took death very well. Remember when Serina died?" Apollo nodded with disgust. Remembered how Boxey would get nervous about Apollo going to fight the Cylons and he would start crying. Apollo took off for a month to spend time with Boxey and to make sure he was alright. "I'm sure Boxey will pull through like the last time." replied Athena. She held her brother's hand. "He just needs a lot of support from you." Apollo nodded. "How come Sheba had to die. Why couldn't it been me?" Athena looked at her brother in worry. Apollo frowned. "I didn't mean that. I couldn't of bare to leave you and dad....or Boxey." Apollo hugged his sister. "Maybe you should get some rest like Boxey. You look terrible." Athena began lead her brother out of Boxey's room, but Apollo walked over to Boxey's side and bent down. He kissed his forehead and walked to Athena's side. "You haven't done that in a long time." said Athena as they walked in the hall. "I know, it's about time I did." Apollo sighed with worry. Kavyn sat on her bed. She looked out of the window and gazed at the sky. Kavyn had gotten into her normal clothes other than her rookie uniform. Kavyn's brownish blonde hair was tied back in a simple ponytail with an elastic band and a butterfly clip with smiley faces. Nail polish remover and a bunch of cotton swabs laid next to her. Kavyn slowly painted her right hand with maroon nail polish. Some of her grown out bangs fell in her eyes. "Oh Kavyn!" called a voice from the main room. Kavyn smiled to herself. "You lost again?" Kavyn laughed as her father came into the room. "You don't know that." Starbuck shook a finger at Kavyn. "When you say 'Oh Kavyn', I know you lost to a game of Pyramid." Kavyn continued to paint her nails. Starbuck pulled up a chair and watched his daughter paint her thumb. "What color is that?" He took the bottle and studied it. "Maroon." Kavyn blew on her nails. "What ever happened to that blue nail polish and the green and the black?" Starbuck stopped. "They are in my bathroom." Kavyn took the nail polish and began to do her toes. "You are weird." Starbuck replied. Kavyn looked up at her father and smiled. "Thank you. You're not bad yourself." "It seems like yesterday I adopted you." Starbuck's head rested on his palm. "You were the prettiest little thing on the Galactica." "What about now?" asked Kavyn. She put her nail polish remover, cotton swabs, and nail polish on the nightstand and blew on her toes. "You are beauty." Starbuck smiled. "You parents would have been very proud of you." Kavyn gave a faint grin. Her parents were kill in front of her eyes in the attack of Caprica. At the time, Boxey was living there with his real mother and father. Herself and Boxey were two of the few survivors of that attack. Two yahrens after it happened, Starbuck showed up in one of the 220 ships following the Galactica after he had caught Kavyn stealing some of his pyramid chips. Kavyn loved Starbuck to pieces and in a few months, she was his daughter. Starbuck and Cassie had gotten married when Kavyn was fifteen. "You really think so, dad?" asked Kavyn. She hugged her knees. Starbuck made a face. "Why wouldn't I? All of the young men on the Galactica are itching to ask you out. Their only problem is Boxey." Kavyn smiled. "I wouldn't trade Boxey in for anyone." She thought of her handsome boyfriend, who was the captain's son, step-son. They had their ups and downs, still Kavyn and Boxey were in love. "I'm glad you and Boxey are a pair. He's such a gentle person." "And handsome, don't forget that." "I remember when you two first met." Starbuck thought how the youngsters met. Starbuck and Kavyn were going to visit Cassie in Sick Bay and then go to see Starbuck's Viper. Apollo and Boxey were on their way to see Dr. Salik because Boxey had just gotten over the Ovion Flu (it's extremely bad for child to have). The two children hit it off right then. "Dad, will Boxey be okay?" asked Kavyn. She looked at her nails. "On my way back, I'll check on him. Actually, Commander Adama ordered some of the Blue Squadron to check on Apollo and Boxey. He's more worried about Boxey's well being." Starbuck replied in a stern tone. Kavyn looked at the tattoo on her second biggest toe on her right foot. "Remember when I got my tattoo?" Starbuck smirked at the remark. "Yeah, he said blankly. "You had a cow. I still like it." Kavyn looked at the tattoo again. It was thorns that rounded her toe with a red rose in the middle. She called it the "Love Ring". Boxey, Kavyn, and a group of the graduates of 1989 went to the casino on Meccadine. Kavyn and Kyla saw a tattoo shop and got tattoos. Kyla got one on her stomach to show off her navel piecing. "Well, I'm glad you got it on your toe instead of your arm or somewhere like that." Starbuck replied. Kavyn smiled. "I miss Boxey so much." "Will you stop being so swoony?" Starbuck stood up and walked to the door. "I need to see Apollo about some stuff." Kavyn nodded. "See you later." Starbuck grinned and walked down the hall. Kavyn leaned in the doorway and sighed. "Men." Boxey tossed and turned in his bed. For some odd reason, Boxey couldn't stop. He let out a scream and someone ran into the room. Boxey sat up in bed breathing heavily and covered in sweat. Cassiopeia sat on the bed. "Are you alright?" she asked. Cassie patted Boxey's shoulders. Boxey nodded. He wiped his forehead. Cassie stood up and went to the door. "I'm going to get you some water." She left the room. Boxey stood up and went over to the table in his room. His hands shook. Cassie sat next to him and handed the glass of to Boxey. "You had a bad dream?" Cassie looked at Boxey. Boxey nodded. It was hard to hold the water. He put the glass down and waited for a moment. "Go back to bed and try to get some sleep." Cassie replied. "In a couple of hours, Athena will take the midnight shift." "What midnight shift?" Boxey managed to say. "Your grandfather wants someone to stay in your room in case you have another nightmare or something like that." Boxey nodded and looked at Cassie with a sad expression. FIVE: Apollo, Boomer, Bojay, and Starbuck sat in Bojay's quarters. It had been two months since Sheba's death. The four men looked at their pyramid cards and pondered for a moment. "Draw." whispered Boomer. The men dropped their cards on the table. Starbuck stood up and smiled. "Grin and weep men! I win." He took the pot and stuffed it in his pockets. His friends moaned. Kavyn walked into the quarters with Kyla. They both smiled at the men. Kyla had red hair and brown eyes. She was lean and built like Kavyn. Kyla wore a multi-colored mid-drift top with a pair of blue jeans hip huggers. Kavyn wore a pair of black pants and a green long sleeved shirt with a four inch lace up that had the same color green leather. "So, who won?" asked Kavyn. "Starbuck." said Boomer in a shallow voice. Kavyn and Kyla looked at each other and giggled. "What's so funny?" asked Bojay. "Starbuck always wins." Kavyn mumbled. The two girls left the room. Boxey and Ebrie walked down the hallway. Kavyn saw the boys first and ran to her boyfriend. She kissed him. Kyla followed. "Hey you." whispered Kavyn to Boxey. "I've been looking for you. We have another Viper route." Boxey held Kavyn close. "I don't think Jolly would let you out in that." added Boxey. "I'll go and change." Kavyn kissed him again and went back to her quarters. Kyla followed. "Well, there goes two good looking women and they are ours." said Ebrie. He hit Boxey in the shoulder. "We better get to Viper Bay." Boxey hit Ebrie back and went to Viper Bay. Jolly paced the Viper Bay. Ten rookies stood in a straight line with the Blue and Red Squadron fighter behind them. "The Bridge has gotten Cylon activity in the Alpha Drano sector on our scanners." Jolly began. "You know your groups, here are your two leaders. Group One: Captain Apollo, Lt. Starbuck; Group Two: Lt. Boomer, Lt. Omega." Jolly stopped and turned to the people. "Off you go." Everyone left to the Vipers. Kavyn smiled at Boxey and climbed into her Viper. Jolly stopped Boxey. "Hey, you don't have to go." Jolly touched Boxey's shoulder. "I need to. It's my job, Jolly." answered Boxey. "Okay. Look, I want you to stay behind the Galactica. If we need you, Starbuck radio you." Jolly slapped Boxey's back. "Good luck." With a nod, Boxey boarded his Viper. "Hey Boxey." said Rigel over the helmetcom. "Hi." Boxey heard the canopy close. "Okay. Viper 2 please stand by for take off." said Rigel. "Standing by." mumbled Boxey. "Proceed to take off down runway 1." Boxey pressed the turbo and flew into space. A blue laser shot next to his wing. Kavyn shot at the Raider coming towards Boxey. "Thanks." Boxey replied. "No prob." Kavyn flew off. Boxey flew to the back of the Galactica and shot down a couple of Vipers. "Hey I need some help!" yelled Ebrie. Boxey flew to the battlefield and helped Ebrie. A Viper exploded. Boxey looked around and saw that Kyla wasn't in the air. A sick feeling hit Boxey's stomach. Then a Viper flew pasted him. "Hey jerk!" Kyla circled over him and flew to help out some Red Squadron fighters. "Return to the Galactica." said Apollo. The Vipers turned around. Boxey stepped of his Viper. Everyone was rejoicing about the latest victory. Boxey turned to the runway and saw a ball of fire fly threw the tunnel. "Look out!" screamed Boxey. He ducked and a loud explosion rung. Everything was on fire. Boxey stood up and search for his father. Boxey saw a body lying next to a Viper. "Boxey?" Apollo's voice cracked. "Dad, are you alright?" Boxey knelt down next to him. "Get out of here." Apollo ordered. A stream of blood ran out of his mouth. "I can't leave you here." Boxey replied. He felt tears roll down his cheeks. "I'm going to die, leave me and you'll live." Apollo mumbled. He placed his hand on Boxey's. Blood covered it. "But, what happens to Earth and everything?" asked Boxey. "You can continue the mission for us...." "With what?" Boxey sobbed. "With you heart, Boxey. Please leave. It's my time to go." Apollo said in a low voice. "I'm not going." "Please, Boxey. Do it for me." Apollo manage to say. More blood spilled out of his mouth. "But what happens if I survive? I won't a family." Boxey wiped his eyes. "You will. You won't be able to see Adama, Athena, Sheba, Serina, or me. We'll always be with you." Apollo choked. He closed his eyes. "Please don't die. I need you." Boxey shook his father's shoulders. Apollo mumbled, "Take my...necklace." He paused. "I see a light Boxey. It's calling to me. Remember, I'll always love you." Apollo's body went limp. Boxey looked at his father. "Dad?" He shook his shoulders. "Dad?" Boxey jerk Apollo. "DAD!" Boxey began to sob. "Please don't leave." Boxey rested his head on Apollo's chest and repeated , "Don't leave me, Dad." The last known battlestar, Galactica, burned slowly. The flames rose to the sky with black smoke. No one in the universe knew what had happened...until a loud roar shook the skies with smoke, pieces of a ship, and fire shot in all directions. At last the voyage had come to an end...forever. PART TWO COMMANDER CAIN'S JOURNAL STARDATE: 26 JULY, 1990 Ever since the destruction of the battlestar, Galactica, my crew has been grieving over it. My daughter, Sheba, was one that battlestar. I miss her dearly, of course. My good friend, Lexington or Lex, found out she married Commander Adama's son, Apollo. As you may remember, Apollo had a son named Boxey from his marriage before. That Boxey, well, he's a nice guy. Actually, we found a survivor on board. The ironic thing is the kid is Boxey. Some someone in our Black Spar found him huddled over Apollo's body. He was clutching a necklace. When Boxey arrived on the Pegasus, he wasn't breathing. Ever since, that kid has been in a coma. I visit him everyday because he is now my step-grandson and hope he will snap out of it ( the coma, I mean). Boxey has grown up since the last time I saw that little rascal at age seven. Also, another battlestar, Virgo, has two another survivors. They are both related. The Commander of the Virgo, Micheki, will send them to us after Boxey regains consciousness. SIX: Commander Cain walked into Sick Bay. A few nurses were walking about the area with clipboards, needles, medication, and meals. Dr. Rion walked up to Cain with a clipboard. "Good afternoon, Commander Cain." said Rion in a low voice. "Boxey's been waiting for you." He walked down the hallway. Cain followed. "So how is he?" asked Cain. He crossed his arms and waited for an answer. Rion looked at his clipboard. "Well from the looks of it, Boxey will be transferred into a normal room instead of a oxygen capsule." Cain gave a sigh of relief. "Finally something with that kid is going right." he mumbled. "Commander, that kid is extremely lucky. There are no words to say how lucky he is to be alive after what happened to him." Rion said firmly. "I know, I know." Cain replied. "When will he regain consciousness?" Rion gave Cain a look. "I told you about a thousand times, I don't know!" He frowned. "Are you going to see him or not?" Lex ran down the hall. "Commander, we have Cylon Raiders coming." Cain followed Lex to Viper Bay. Rion walked into the room and examined Boxey. Rion wrote down some notes. He heard a faint moan. The doctor looked at Boxey. "Nurse!" yelled Rion. He dropped the clipboard and ran into the main hall, waving his arms. Lt. Latona walked into the Bridge. She looked for the commander. Lex saw her. Kavyn walked up to Lex and saluted him. "The commander needs to report to Sick Bay now." Latona replied. "Why?" asked Lex. "That kid has regained consciousness." answered Latona. She left to report to Viper Bay. Cain walked out to the screening level of the Bridge. Lex ran up to him. "Boxey is conscious." said Lex. Cain rushed out of the Bridge and Lex followed him. Rion stood in Boxey's room. The capsule was opened. Cain ran into with Lex behind him. "Where is my grandson?" Cain was out of breath. Rion motioned his head to the capsule. Cain marched over to it and peered inside. Boxey looked up at Cain. "Dad?" mumbled Boxey. His voice cracked with weakness. All he could see was four blurry objects. Cain looked at Lex and Rion. He turned back to Boxey. "No, I'm Commander Cain of the battlestar, Pegasus." "Where's my dad?" asked Boxey. Cain took Boxey's hand. "The battlestar, Galactica was destroyed five months ago. You and two other people were the only survivors." Boxey bit his lip to hold back from crying. "Are they Sheba and Apollo?" asked Boxey. "Sheba, my daughter, died before the Galactica was destroyed by the Cylons." Cain sighed. "We found you huddled over you father's body." "What does that mean, is he alive?" asked Boxey. "He was dead when we got to you. The battlestar, Virgo, has the two other survivors." said Lexington. Boxey turned his head away and mumbled something. "What battlestar is this, again?" "The Pegasus." said Cain. Boxey was shocked. "You must be kidding. The Pegasus was destroyed." Cain shook his head. "I'm Commander Cain..." "Oh God." Boxey's head dropped. After a couple of hours, Boxey came to with a headache. He decided that he must have hit his head on the side of the capsule. Boxey proped himself up with his elbows and looked around the room. Someone sat in the chair by the door. Lex looked at Boxey. "You are just a wreck, kid." said Lex in a kind voice. He stood up and walked over to Boxey. "We moved you to a normal bed while you were out." Boxey nodded. "Am I really on the Pegasus or is this some kind of a cruel joke?" Lex nodded. "I'll get you something to eat. What do you like?" Lex paused. "We have everything on this baby." "I dunno." Boxey sighed. "Can I just have some water?" Lex smiled. "I'll be right back." He left the room. Boxey leaned back and relaxed for a moment. He felt a little tried from everything. Lex came back in with a glass of water. "Here you go." He handed the glass to Boxey, then went back to get the chair. Lex placed it next to Boxey's bedside. Boxey the water, slowly. After a while, his stomach was aching from the five months he had been in that coma. "How old are you?" asked Lex as he sat down. "Almost nineteen." Boxey answered. "When is your birthday?" replied Lex. "November thirteenth." Boxey placed the glass on the stand next to the bed. "Is this a quiz or something?" "The doctor told me to ask your age and all that junk." answered Lex. "What about you?" "I'm forty-five yahrens and my birthday is March twenty- sixth." Lex paused. "That's when you came here." He noticed a odd expression on Boxey's face. "What's wrong?" "My dad was forty-five when he died." Boxey mumbled. "Well, I can see the rookie is up." said Cain. He walked into the room with a smile. "How are you feeling?" "Better." Boxey mumbled. "The doctor said in a couple of days you can go to your quarters." said Cain. "My quarters?" Boxey was confused. "We prepared you and the other survivors quarters because the Virgo couldn't take three extras." Cain answered. Boxey nodded. He sighed and looked at Cain. "Apollo told me I needed to continue to mission to find Earth.....can you help me?" Cain nodded. "Of course." He paused. "First, you need to get out of Sick Bay to find Earth." Boxey gave a faint grin. "Let time heal and then we'll talk. Does that sound good?" asked Cain. Boxey nodded sleepily. He yawned. Lex smiled and stood up. "We better let you get some more rest." He motioned Cain to leave. The room was quiet. Boxey thought of Apollo and his last moments with him. The fire in Viper Bay surround them and pieces of walls, switch boards, and viper pieces fell next to them. Dad, are you alright? Get out of here. I can't leave you here. I'm going to die, leave me and you'll live. But, what happens to Earth and everything? You can continue the mission for us.... With what? With you heart, Boxey. Please leave. It's my time to go. I'm not going. Please, Boxey. Do it for me. But what happens if I survive? I won't a family. You will. You won't be able to see Adama, Athena, Sheba, Serina, or me. We'll always be with you. Please don't die. I need you. Take my...necklace. I see a light Boxey. It's calling to me. Remember, I'll always love you. Dad? Dad? DAD!. Please don't leave. Don't leave me, Dad. Boxey let out a sob and hugged his knees. He rocked back and forth. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, Dad. I'm sorry." Boxey whispered. SEVEN: Commander Cain sat in the Bridge with Lt. Latona and Lex on either side. Kavyn tossed her blonde hair over her shoulder. "The Cylon basestar is 10,000 microns from here, commander." said one of the flight advisers. Cain stood up and nodded. "When do you think the next raid is going to be?" asked Cain. He looked at Lex. "Anytime soon, sir." answered Lex. "How are we going to get the two survivors here safely?" "We can have a fifteen Viper escort." suggested Latona. She crossed her arms. Lex and Cain looked at Latona. Lex nodded with agreement. "That's a great idea, Latona. Would you and Lexington lead it?" asked Cain. Latona was silent for a moment. "I guess. What about you Lex?" Lex nodded. "When is the escort?" "Two hectars from now." Cain paused. "I'm suppose to get Boxey." He walked down the stairs to the main level on the Bridge. "Well, come on you two!" Latona and Lex scrabbled down the stairs and followed Cain to the hall. The cold metal of the stethoscope made Boxey shiver. "Breathe in." said Dr. Rion. "Breathe out." He wrote something down on the clipboard, then placed the stethoscope on Boxey's back. "Breathe in." A minute went by. "Breathe out." Commander Cain walked in with Lt. Latona and Lexington behind him. Boxey grinned at Cain. "How's the rookie?" asked Cain. Rion marked down a couple of notes. "He's ready to be released." Cain looked at Boxey. "Better button up your shirt." Boxey looked down and blushed. He hopped off the table and began to button up his top. "Well before you go, I need to ask Boxey a couple of things." said Rion. He looked at everyone. "In private if you mind!" Cain, Latona, and Lex waited outside. "Okay Boxey, I need to know your medical record from the Galactica." said Rion. "I'm almost done, except for one thing. Your illness history." "I had the Ovion flu when I was eight." Boxey waited for the doctor to say something. "It wasn't a big deal, though." "You can go. Be careful, I don't want to see you in here for five months." Rion replied. Boxey stood up and walked into the hall. Latona was the only one there. "Where's Cain?" asked Boxey. "He had to go to the Bridge." Latona answered. "We found a Cylon basestar and some raiders are coming. I'll take you to your quarters." She walked down the hall with Boxey at her side. "What rank are you?" asked Latona. "I saw you wearing the Blue Squadron uniform, but most of it was trashed." "Rookie." answered Boxey. "What about you?" "Lieutenant." Latona replied. " I was friends with Sheba and Bojay." Boxey looked at Latona. "Really?" "I've known them since I was seven yahrens. I was pretty shocked that Sheba died." Latona said in a low voice. Boxey looked at his feet. "It's really awkward to be here, I don't know anyone." "Well, I have a younger brother named Troy. He's a rookie. Maybe you'll see him around." said Latona. "How old is he?" asked Boxey. "Nineteen. He turned nineteen in October." Latona replied. "You are younger than him?" Boxey nodded. "He has a girlfriend named Aubrey, who's his age." Latona said. "Do you have a girlfriend on the Galactica?' Boxey nodded. "Her name was Kavyn. She was Starbuck's daughter." "I didn't know he had a daughter." "He adopted her." "Hey Latona!" yelled Troy. He ran to his sister. Troy brushed his brown hair out his blue eyes. "Geez, you get around the ship. I've been looking for you." "What for?" asked Latona. "My computer broke down and I can't fix it." answered Troy. "When can you come over?" "Not now, I need to bring Boxey to his quarters." replied Latona. Troy smiled at Boxey. "Hi, welcome to the Pegasus." "Thanks." Boxey mumbled. "Aren't you that guy from the Galactica?" asked Troy. Boxey nodded. "How are you feeling? All of the rookies were worried about you." Troy sounded friendly. "Better." Boxey shoved his hands in his pockets. "That's good. I'll see you around." Troy began to walk off. "You better haul your ass over to my quarters, Latona!" "I will." said Latona. She stopped at a door. It opened. "There you go." "Thanks." Boxey walked into the dark room and turned on the lights. EIGHT: Kavyn walked down the hall with Starbuck and Latona. It had been a centar since the Virgo shuttle craft had landed. "Where is he?" asked Starbuck. He was eager to see Boxey after five months. "In his quarters, he may be asleep so don't get to excited." Latona replied. Kavyn giggled. "How is he feeling?" asked Kavyn. "He's on and off." Cain walked down the hall. Cain saw Starbuck. "Well, Lt. Starbuck, it's nice to see you." Cain yelled from down the hall. "How are you doing?" "Better, what about you, commander?" Starbuck walked up to Cain and smiled. "I'm fine. Where is that little rascal of yours?" asked Cain. "You mean Kavyn?" replied Starbuck. He turned around and motioned for his daughter come. Kavyn walked up to her father. She brushed a piece of hair out her eyes. "Is this the legendary Kavyn?" Cain took her hand. "Starbuck, she is a beauty." Kavyn blushed. "Thank you. I think the same, too." said Starbuck. He wrapped his arm around Kavyn's shoulder. "Well Kavyn, how do you like the Pegasus?" asked Cain. "It's nice." Kavyn rested her head on Starbuck's shoulder. "Troy is one of our rookies and his girlfriend, Aubrey, is going to show you around tomorrow." Cain smiled at Kavyn. "I can't believe Starbuck the girl crazed, drunken, card playing, gambler is a father. Do you know how to play Pyramid?" Kavyn grinned. "I beat Starbuck." She nudged Starbuck's stomach. Cain looked at Starbuck. "So your own daughter beat you? That is really odd." Starbuck glared at Kavyn. "I'm even surprised." "Everyone was there. Apollo, Boomer, Jolly, Bojay, and Omega." Kavyn stopped and sighed. "Don't forget Boxey was there, too." Starbuck slammed his hand over his mouth. "Sorry." Kavyn sighed and rested her head on Starbuck. "I miss him so much." "I'm going to get Kavyn to her quarters." replied Latona. She and Kavyn walked down the hall. "Poor Kavyn, she really misses that kid. They were going out." said Starbuck. "I have something to tell you, Starbuck. You can't tell Kavyn." Cain said sternly. "I won't." Starbuck replied. "Boxey is alive and well." Starbuck shocked. "He is?" Cain nodded. "He is going through a rough time because Apollo is dead." Starbuck sighed. "Poor kid. He lost his whole family." "Well, right now Boxey is resting. He was up last night crying until the crack of dawn. I had to stay here and comfort him. Boxey fell asleep in my arms and I went back to my quarters." Cain mumbled. "I better get you to your quarters." NINE: Kavyn and Aubrey walked into the pool area. A bunch of rookies socialized by the pool. They waved at Kavyn and Aubrey. "This the pool. Wanna go swimming?" asked Aubrey. Kavyn nodded. "So what is Troy like?" "He is very romantic." Aubrey said in a soft voice. She rolled out her towel. Kavyn did the same. "My boyfriend was like that, too." Kavyn looked at the high dive. A boy jumped off and another came on. "Who is that?" "Boxey." Aubrey answered. "Isn't he fine or what?" With a nod, Kavyn walked to the high dive and climbed up. She ran across it and tackled Boxey. They fell in the water. Kavyn waited on the side of the pool. Boxey came to the surface. "What the hell was that for?" yelled Boxey. He waited for the attacker to surface. Kavyn brushed her hair of her face. "Hey you." Boxey's mouth dropped open with shock. Kavyn touch his chin and pushed it back up. "I guess I took you by surprise." said Kavyn. Boxey nodded. He felt a little dizzy. Boxey began to sink into the water. Kavyn held him up and swam over to the side. She helped him out of the pool and draped a towel over his shoulder. Kavyn grabbed her towel and sat down next to Boxey. "Are you okay?" asked Kavyn. She rubbed Boxey's shoulders. "I was just surprised, that's all." Boxey mumbled in a flat voice. He wrapped his arms around Kavyn. "I missed you so much." "I did, too." Kavyn answered. She smiled at Boxey. "How are you feeling?" "Better." Boxey kissed Kavyn on the lips. "I'm going back to my father's quarters. Do you want to come?" Kavyn stood up and looked at Boxey with a slit smiled. "I guess. Is it all right with your dad?" asked Boxey. "Why wouldn't it be, Box? Are you sure you are feeling like yourself?" Kavyn looked at Boxey with a stern face. She picked up her clothes. "I don't even know how to feel. Everything is so confusing to me." Boxey answered. He placed his head in his hands. Kavyn sat next to Boxey and hugged him. "Boxey, calm down will you? You are scaring me." Boxey sighed. "I'm going back to get some rest....I'm not feeling well." Kavyn frowned. "Is this about you father?" She stood and glared at Boxey. "It is, huh?" "What's it to you? Kavyn, you still have you father." Boxey stood and glared back. "I have no one." "That's not true, Box. You have Cain, he's your grandfather. You have my father and me! What the hell are you talking about?" Kavyn yelled. "I watched my father die! I have no one, Kavyn, you should know that!" Boxey paused. "I've been in a coma for five months, I didn't know the Galactica was destroyed!" Kavyn frowned. "I'm sick of you, Boxey! What happened to the Boxey I use to know?" She walked out to the hall. Oh God! thought Boxey. He ran to the hallway and looked for Kavyn. Boxey panicked for a moment until he saw Kavyn sitting on the floor. She had her head buried in her hands. "Kavyn?" asked Boxey in a soft tone. He squatted down and looked at Kavyn. "I'm really sorry, Kavyn. Seriously." "Is that what you say to everyone?" asked Kavyn. She looked at Boxey with a stern face. "Why are you acting so weird?" She wiped her eyes. Boxey looked down and sighed. "I don't know why." He looked at Kavyn. "It was about your father." Kavyn wrapped her arms around Boxey. "Boxey, it wasn't your fault." "I know, I know. I could of taken him to a Viper and flown to a nearby planet." Boxey mumbled. "He would have died anyways, Box. Apollo couldn't wait just to get to a nearby planet. You know that." Kavyn stood up and helped Boxey to his feet. "I'm going back to my father's quarters and you are coming." She grabbed his hand and pulled Boxey down the hall. Starbuck and Lexington stood over Viper Bay. Pilots walked on the ground. "Man, this place it bigger than the Galactica's." replied Starbuck. Lex chuckled. "Is Kavyn a pilot yet?" "Rookie." Starbuck was still looking at the Vipers down below. "What about Boxey?" "Same." A boy walked up to the two men. Troy tapped Lex's shoulder. "Oh Lexington, Cain wants you to report to the Council room on the double....with Lt. Starbuck." Troy grinned and looked at the Vipers. Lex groaned. "Doesn't that old man ever give it a rest?" He walked down the catwalk. "I guess not, Lex!" yelled Troy. "You hurry up, you old goat!" Lex turned around and frowned. Troy grinned again and waved. "Get out here!" called Troy to Boxey. Boxey stumbled out of a cargo box with Kavyn and Aubrey. The two girls landed on Boxey and stood up. Boxey groaned and eyed the girls. "Damn! This place it bigger than the Galactica's Viper Bay!" said Kavyn suddenly. Boxey peered over the rail and looked down. He was wide eyed. "We can get in a couple of Vipers and fly around." said Aubrey. She rested her head on Troy's shoulder. "Do you guys want to?" asked Troy. Boxey leaned over the edge a little more. "Oh Boxey!" yelled a squadron flyer from down below. Boxey fell off the catwalk and landed in a Viper with a thud. His head hit the turbo buttons and the throttle. The canopy closed over Boxey's limp body and rolled down the Viper tunnel. "Oh shit!" yelled Kavyn. She climbed down the ladder next to some cargo and grabbed a helmet. Kavyn jumped in a Viper. "What is she doing?" asked Aubrey. "I don't know, but I don't think Kavyn can fly a Viper." Troy looked at Aubrey with a pale face. "Viper 4 to Bridge, am I clear for take off?" asked Kavyn in a shaky voice. "Who is this?" asked a male voice. "Viper 4, am I clear for take off?" asked Kavyn. "You are clear for take off." said the voice. Kavyn flipped a couple of buttons and hit the turbo. The Viper flew down the Viper tunnel and Kavyn hit the back of the seat. "Commander, two Vipers are circling the Pegasus. The pilots are unidentified." said the male known as Teague. Cain walked up to Teague and looked at the scanner. "May I ask for you to come back to the Pegasus now!" Kavyn broke in. "Wish I could, but Boxey fell into a Viper and is unconscious in his Viper. He was on the catwalk." "Omigod!" yelled Cain. He was shocked. Kavyn flinched. "Do you think you could stop screaming?" Cain frowned. Starbuck and Lex walked up to him. "What's wrong?" asked Lex. "Boxey was on the catwalk and fell into a Viper. He is inside, unconscious, and Kavyn went out to get him." Cain mumbled. "You mean, my Kavyn!" screamed Starbuck. He looked at Lex and Cain. Kavyn flew over Boxey's Viper and circled around it. She maneuvered her Viper's wing to touch Boxey's and hooked the two Vipers together. "Got it!" replied Kavyn over to helmetcom. The Bridge began to cheer. Starbuck, Lex, and Cain gave a sigh of relief. "How am I going to get back inside Viper Bay?" asked Kavyn. "The Shuttle tunnel is big enough to fit two Vipers. Land in there and I'll meet you there with Med Tech." said Cain. Kavyn turned around and flew into the Shuttle tunnel. The Vipers stopped and Kavyn opened the canopy. She jumped on the wing and opened Boxey's canopy. Boxey laid across the seat. Kavyn grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the Viper. Boxey's head rolled and rested on Kavyn's shoulder. Kavyn jumped to the to ground and laid Boxey on the ground. She took off her helmet and jacket. She placed the jacket under Boxey's head. "Hey Box." Kavyn shook his shoulders. Boxey remained limp. Kavyn bit her lip. She slapped Boxey on the cheek. "Wake up you moron!" yelled Kavyn. She picked Boxey up by the shirt and shook his body. "Wake up you lazy asshole!" Kavyn let go of Boxey and sobbed. Boxey laid on the ground, motionless. A scene flashed in his head. Everything was burning and falling on the ground. A single body laid by a Viper. A little boy ran up to it and began to sob. Dad, are you alright? Get out of here. I can't leave you here. I'm going to die, leave me and you'll live. But, what happens to Earth and everything? You can continue the mission for us.... With what? Starbuck ran over to Boxey and lifted his head. "Boxey?" He checked for a pulse. "Boxey, snap of out it. Come on, kiddo. Snap out of it!" With you heart, Boxey. Please leave. It's my time to go. I'm not going. Please, Boxey. Do it for me. But what happens if I survive? I won't a family. You will. You won't be able to see Adama, Athena, Sheba, Serina, or me. We'll always be with you. Please don't die. I need you. Take my...necklace. I see a light Boxey. It's calling to me. Remember, I'll always love you. Dad? Dad? DAD!. Please don't leave. Don't leave me, Dad. "DAD!" screamed Boxey. He looked at Starbuck. Boxey broke into a sob. "It was my fault." Starbuck embraced Boxey and tried to clam him down. Kavyn hugged Boxey and Starbuck. TEN: Latona, Lexington, Starbuck, and Cain sat in Cain's quarters. Cain paced the room for a moment, then turned to everyone in the room. "There must be some way we should award Kavyn." said Cain in a stern voice. He was in a little dismay after Kavyn refused to receive any award for saving Boxey's life. Starbuck frowned. "Like I said, Kavyn has done many things like saving people's lives, but she hates to receive awards for that kind of conduct. You have to understand, commander, my daughter is the type who gives, not receives. Kavyn's been like that since the day I met her." "Can't we give her something?" asked Latona. Her tone was annoyed by the way everyone heard it. "Kavyn is a sweet kid, but we need to give her just a little something." Lexington tapped a pencil on his leg and rested his head on his fist. "Lt. Lexington, you are awfully quiet." said Cain. "It's Starbuck's job to be the talkative one." mumbled Lex. Starbuck grinned. "That's extremely true, commander." "That isn't the point lieutenants." Cain turned to Latona with a smiled. "At least one of you are actually smart." Starbuck and Lex groaned with anger. "Well, what does Kavyn like?" asked Lexington. Starbuck moaned. "I don't know." "You have to answer that, Starbuck. She's your daughter." Latona crossed her arms. "Oh, in that case, fine....Boxey! She likes Boxey." Starbuck frowned. "Is that better you little...." "Now, Starbuck." replied Latona. "You shouldn't be rude to a lady." "Aw, shut up, will ya? You are a big pain in the as...." Cain stopped Starbuck from continuing. "She likes my grandson....Starbuck we already know that!" Cain yelled. Teague walked into the room. "There is a Cylon Task Force coming at 20 microns, commander." "Sound Red Alert." Cain walked to the door. "We will resume this meeting later." Latona, Starbuck, and Lexington left for Viper Bay. Kavyn and Aubrey ran down the hall with their helmets. "First mission, what fun, huh?" said Kavyn in a sarcastic tone. "Wouldn't this be your second?" asked Aubrey. "Don't remind me." Kavyn saw a shuttle coming down the hall. She and Aubrey hopped. Troy sat in his Viper. The canopy closed over him. Troy looked at the Viper across from his. Boxey grinned. "Are you sure you want to do this, Box?" asked Troy. He saw Aubrey and Kavyn head to their Vipers. "Yeah, why not?" replied Boxey. He looked at Troy with a frowned. "Just wondering." Troy stopped for a moment. "Oh Troy!" called Aubrey through the helmetcom. "Oh what?" asked Troy. He looked at Boxey and shrugged. "Good luck." answered Aubrey. "No, your the one who needs it." Troy said in pride. "Honey, wasn't I the person who saved your sorry ass from a Cylon last mission?" Aubrey replied. Troy blushed. Boxey giggled. "That's what I thought. Your life is in my hands, buster." Aubrey answered. "Don't remind me." said Troy. "You know what, Troy, I think I'm having daja vu. I just said that on the way down here!" said Kavyn. "Big deal." Troy snapped. Aubrey and Kavyn began to sing at the top of there lungs. "Lost in a snow filled sky, we'll make it alright to come undone now.... We'll try to stay blind to the hope and fear outside!" "Stop it! You two sound like Lexington and Teague when they are drunk!" yelled Troy. "Well, Troy, at least I don't look like a stick of roll on deodorant!" snapped Aubrey. "Excuse me? Well, at least I'm not a dumb blonde!" "That's dirt blonde to you!" yelled Kavyn. "SHUT UP!" screamed Boxey. Everyone was silent. "This a mission, we shouldn't make fun of anyone...even if some of it is true." Boxey was calm. "Viper 8 clear for take off." said Teague from the Bridge. Boxey flipped some buttons and press the turbo button. His back hit the seat as the Viper flew down the tunnel. "Viper 4 clear for take off. Viper 9 clear for take off." Soon all of the squadrons were outside of the Pegasus. "Viper 8 to Black Spar leader, Cylon Task Force are 15 microns and closing.' said Boxey. "Which sector?" asked Lexington. "Actually, it's a drone, sir." said Boxey. "Fine, which drone?" asked Lexington. "The Molica Drone, sir." Boxey looked at his scanner. "No wait. What the hell is going on there?" "What?" asked Troy. "There are Cylons in one drone and a sector." Boxey looked at his scanner. "Oh boy. It's an ambush." said Aubrey. "Black Spar leader to Blue Spar leader, spilt up." said Lexington. "Where?" asked Latona. "You go to the Meenio Sector, I'm taking my squadron to the Molica Drone. Be careful." said Lex. Latona grinned and told her squadron to fly to the other side of the Pegasus. "Okay Black Spar, get ready to fire." said Lexington. "Cylon Task Force intercepting at 10 microns and closing." said Boxey. Troy placed his thumb over the fire button. "Nine microns and closing." Aubrey turned on her fighter scanner. "Five microns and closing." Kavyn turned her scanner on. "Intercepting Cylons at 2 microns." said Boxey. "Intercept." The Black Spar separated. Troy shot at a Cylon raider and it exploded. "Yahoo!" Kavyn and Aubrey circled over two raiders and shot at them. The Raiders exploded and the Viper swung around to help the Blue Spar. Boxey shot at a Raider and missed. The Raider flew up and was behind Boxey in matter of seconds. Oh shit. I really did it now! The Raider blew up and Troy's Viper was right behind him. He flew up to Boxey's side. "Thanks." said Boxey. Troy gave him a thumbs up and flew away. Boxey sighed and flew over to the Blue Spar. Kavyn chased a Raider over the Pegasus. She shot at it and missed. The Raider flew over the Bridge. Cain fell out of his seat. He pulled himself back up. "Commander, Baltar is sending a message to the Pegasus." said Teague. Cain walked over to Teague. "So it was you who destroyed the Galactica." "Yes, I know I did. I'm glad, too." said Baltar. "May I say, I did a very good job for a lazy old man." Cain turned red. "You took my grandson's life away...." "You mean that pitiful boy, Boxey? He was too naive." said Baltar with a laugh. "Kind of like his father....Apollo, I think it was." "How could you destroy your own race?" asked Cain. "They accused me of destroying the Atlanta." said Baltar. "They deserved it." he added. Cain calmed down. "Well, why did you contact us?" asked Cain. "Well, Boxey is a rookie, am I right?" asked Baltar. "Yes." "I'm in a Raider and I was hoping if you could ask Boxey to duel me." said Baltar. Cain and Teague exchanged looks. "Commander, I wouldn't trust that guy on any occasion, even this kind." replied Teague. "I know Teague. We have to." mumbled Cain. "Alright, Baltar, you have it. Where are you?" asked Cain. "Behind the Pegasus....on the other side." Baltar laughed. "Wish Boxey some luck, he'll need it." Cain frowned. He went back up to the commander post. "Bridge to Viper 8." said Teague. "Yeah?" asked Boxey. "Baltar is behind the Pegasus. Wanna shoot him down?" asked Teague. Boxey frowned and smirked. "Wish me luck, Teague." Boxey pressed the turbo and flew around the Pegasus. A Cylon Raider flew out of nowhere. "Well, hello Boxey." said Baltar. Boxey fired at Baltar, but missed. Baltar fire at Boxey and almost it the wing. "That isn't the way to greet anyone." Baltar replied. Boxey began to shoot again. Baltar shot back and hit Boxey's wing. "It looks like you are losing." said Baltar. Boxey hit Baltar's wing. "Maybe not." Baltar shot back in fury. He missed. Boxey flew behind Baltar. "This is from Sheba!" Boxey shot next to Baltar's wing. "Stop it!" yelled Baltar "This is from Athena, Bojay, and Diana!" Boxey fired near the cockpit. "Stop!" yelled Baltar. "This is from Adama!" screamed Boxey. He fired at the other wing, but missed. "Please stop!" ordered Baltar. "And this is from my father!" Boxey shot at Baltar's raider. It exploded into nothing. "Wow." "Omigod!" Teague said in surprise. Cain ran over to Teague. "What happened? Is his alright?" "Baltar is dead." Teague said in a dumbfounded voice. "He's really dead." Cain ran out of the Bridge. Boxey flew down the tunnel and came to a halt. The canopy opened and Boxey stepped out. The fighters looked at him. Boxey ignored them and walked over to his grandfather. "You did it." said Cain. He embraced Boxey. The whole Viper Bay was full of cheering and yelling. Kavyn, Troy, Lexington, Latona, Starbuck, and Aubrey crowded around Boxey and Cain. Kavyn and Boxey kissed. Suddenly, Lexington, Cain, Starbuck, and Troy picked them up and walked out into the hall. ELEVEN: Kavyn came out of her bedroom with a black dress on. Latona walked over to Kavyn and looked at the dress. "Starbuck says this is the dress Sheba wore to one of his Triad games," said Kavyn. "You look like a young lady in this. Were are the those heels?" asked Latona. Kavyn thought for a second. "They are in my bedroom...in the closet." "You stay put." Latona jogged into Kavyn's room. The door opened. Aubrey stood inside. "My God, Kavyn. Is that you?" asked Aubrey. She carried a red dress in her arms. "Aw shut up, Aubrey. Of course it's me!" replied Kavyn. "Do you like it?" added Kavyn. "It looks great. Can I use your quarters as a changing room?" asked Aubrey. "Troy keeps bugging me." "Sure." Latona came out of the room. "Hey Aubrey." Aubrey nodded and went inside. "Nice dress Latona." Latona grinned and looked at her dress. "Got the heels." Latona handed the shoes to Kavyn. Kavyn walked over to the couch and put them on. Her make up was already on and her hair hung in her face. "You really should put your hair up, Kavyn." Aubrey came out with her dress on. She fixed one of the straps. Aubrey saw the expression on Kavyn's face. "Don't tell me, I look like your mother." Kavyn nodded. "Love the hair." said Kavyn. Aubrey smiled with pride. Two braided buns were at the sides of her head and the rest of her hair hung below her shoulders. "Maybe you should curl your hair." Kavyn shook her head. She went into her room. "What are you doing?" asked Latona. She twisted her up in a bun and looked at Kavyn's doorway. "Doing something with my hair." Kavyn came out of her room. She had a messy bun with some hair hanging out. "That's cute." said Aubrey. She slid on her red shoes. Starbuck walked in. "Oh, am I interrupting a fashion show?" asked Starbuck. Kavyn threw her arms around Starbuck. "Hi Daddy." Starbuck looked at his daughter. "You look beautiful. Boxey will probably past out from surprise." Starbuck looked a Latona. "Are you ready?" Latona nodded. She stood up and walked over to Starbuck. "I see my old Starbuck hasn't change that much." said Kavyn. "We'll you meet you there." Latona and Starbuck left. Aubrey and Kavyn giggled. "I'm going to meet Troy at his quarters. I'll see you at Shuttle Bay." said Aubrey. She left. Kavyn turned off the lights and walked down the hall. Lexington, Starbuck, and Latona stood in the hallway talking. Lex saw Kavyn and smiled. "You look very nice." said Lex. Another woman stood next to him. "This my wife Daphnia." Daphnia smiled at Kavyn. "I can't believe Starbuck is your father. But, you are a real beauty." "Thanks." Kavyn replied. "I thought you guys were on your way to the Rising Orion for the banquet." "We were, but I wanted to see you get down there." said Starbuck. Boxey and Cain walked down the hallway. They saw the small group went up to talk to them. Kavyn suddenly tapped Boxey's shoulder and kissed him. "You look great." said Boxey. He wrapped his arms around Kavyn's waist. "Thanks. You look just like a colonial warrior." replied Kavyn. She kissed Boxey on the cheek. "Do you want to get to the Rising Sun for some good seats?" asked Boxey. Kavyn nodded. "I'd like that." Boxey and Kavyn excused themselves. They walked down the hallway and caught one of the shuttles. Commander Cain stood up and the room was silent. "Now on this occasion, it calls for a toast." said Cain. He took his glass and put it in the air. "To Boxey and Kavyn, for their courageous flying." "To Boxey and Kavyn." echoed the room. The people in the room put their glasses in the air. Kavyn looked at Boxey from down the table. She smiled and turned her head to talk to Teague. Boxey sighed and took a sip of wine. "You really like Kavyn, huh?" asked Starbuck. He looked at Boxey with a smile on his face. Boxey nodded. "She's a beauty and smart." "Kavyn and I were talking about you on the day of Sheba's funeral. You're a great kid." said Starbuck. Boxey grinned. He looked at Kavyn. "Are you alright, Boxey?" asked Starbuck. "I was just thinking...." Boxey's voice trailed off. He looked at Starbuck. "I was just thinking about if Kavyn and I got sealed. I would need my father's permission." Starbuck frowned. "I know." He thought of something Apollo had said to him after Serina died. "After your mother died, your father said if anything happened to him, that I would be you guardian....do you know what that means?" Boxey shook his head. "I can give you the blessing for you and the lucky lady for your sealing." Starbuck smiled. Boxey looked down the table and saw Kavyn. She saw him and smiled. "Uh...Boxey, you awake?" asked Starbuck. He tapped Boxey's shoulder. "Yeah, I just feel a little distant. When I saw Teague and his girlfriend, he said I looked just like my father in this thing." said Boxey. Starbuck sighed. "Well, hate to break it to you, Boxey, you do look like you father in that uniform." Boxey grinned. "Do you think the Cylons are gone for good?" asked Boxey. "Doubt it." Starbuck turned to Latona and began to talk to her. Boxey picked at his food and ate a little bit of the ham. Someone wrapped their arms around Boxey's neck. Their hands touched his chest. "Hey you." whispered Kavyn. She kissed Boxey's cheek. Boxey leaned back. "Did anyone ever tell you how beautiful you are?" "Plenty of guys on the Galactica....and here." Kavyn knelt down next to Boxey. "You don't need to worry, I rather stay with you." "After the banquet, do you want to go to the Star Dome?" asked Boxey. Kavyn nodded. "I guess you are back to the same ways." "I guess I am." Boxey kissed Kavyn on the lips. "That's good to hear." replied Kavyn. She kissed Boxey and back to her seat. Boxey smiled to himself. "There's Orion." said Kavyn. She leaned against Boxey's chest. Boxey looked out of the Star Dome. The stars were brighter tonight. The room was silent. Boxey stared up at the moon. A face looked back. Boxey was terrified. "Boxey?" Boxey couldn't speak. "Hey, are you okay?" asked Kavyn. The face disappeared. Boxey snapped out of it. "Yeah, I'm fine." Kavyn kissed Boxey's hand. "I love you." "I love you, too." Boxey smiled. Kavyn sighed. "Do you think we'll ever find Earth?" asked Kavyn. Boxey shrugged. "Beats me." "I hope so." said Kavyn. The sound of the music from the dinner room was faint, but loud enough to hear. Kavyn stood up and pulled Boxey to his feet. They held each other close and danced under the star lit sky until the morning came. TWELVE: Starbuck and Lexington walked into the Star Dome. Nor Boxey or Kavyn were in their quarters. The door slid open and a beam of light stretched across the room to two limp forms. Kavyn rested against Boxey's chest, who leaned against a wall. Starbuck and Lex chuckled. Starbuck walked up to Boxey and shook him out of a deep sleep. "Oh Boxey." said Starbuck. Boxey rubbed his eyes and looked up. "Where am I?" "You are in the Star Dome, kiddo." Starbuck squatted down. "I guess you and Kavyn fell asleep." Boxey yawned and nudged Kavyn. She woke up and looked at her father. He pulled her to her feet. "You two look so cute like that." said Lexington. Boxey and Kavyn looked at him and groaned. They walked out to the Shuttle Bay landing pad and boarded. THIRTEEN: Boxey laid on his bed. He was unconscious for the time being. His uniform hung on the chair next to the doorway. Boxey had put on normal clothing and fell on the bed. It seemed that he blacked out, but for some reason it didn't. A familiar voice traveled through his head. Boxey..... A man appeared with a colonial uniform on with the cape and medals. He began to run somewhere, then a little boy in greenish-blue overalls and a blue turtle neck followed. He was holding some in his hands. Boxey..... The man turned around and looked at the little boy. The boy stopped and looked at the man. The man began to run again. Daddy, stop!!! I need to give you something! yelled the little boy. The man reached a Viper and pulled out a helmet. The boy stopped and stared at the man. The boy was sweating. The man got inside the Viper. Vipers aren't a place for little boys. said the man as the canopy closed. The Viper rose from the ground and exploded. Daddy, don't leave me! Please don't leave me! cried the little boy. A bright light blinded him. Boxey screamed and sat up. He looked around the dark room. Boxey wiped the sweat from his forehead. A light bit of light from the porthole stretched across the room. Boxey got out of bed and opened a drawer. "Boxey..." said a distant voice. Too horrified to speak, Boxey turned around and saw a bright light. "No...no...no..." whispered Boxey. A face formed and Boxey began to feel numb. He slid to the ground and gazed at the face. "Please don't..." Boxey trailed off and fell into a deep sleep. The little boy stood over a form. Boxey walked over to the boy. The boy was crying. Boxey looked at the boy for a moment. They killed her... Boxey looked down and saw Sheba's face. He closed his eyes and then opened them. Apollo looked up at his son. He stood up and looked at the little boy. Apollo picked the boy up and began to comfort him. Boxey just stood there without saying anything. Apollo and the little boy disappeared. A silver necklace laid on the ground. Boxey woke up for the second time. He was on his bed, again, and under the comforter. Boxey rubbed his eyes and heard someone's voice echoing in his head. I'll always be with you, Boxey. said Apollo in a soft tone. I know, Dad, I know.
