END OF DISCLAIMER SCENE ONE Quinn hit his head against a hard metal object. He let out a scream of pain and rubbed his head. Jaime fell on top of him and moaned. She laid on him for a moment and rolled to the ground. "You, Quinn, have a bonny back." said Jaime. She rubbed her stomach and sat up. She looked at Quinn for a moment. "You okay?" Quinn nodded with pain and rolled on to his back. He sat up and looked around for his other friends. "Everyone okay?" "My back is hurtin' like hell, Q-Ball!" complained Rembrandt. "Stop complaining Mr. Brown. At least you didn't land on... a JET COMPLUCER!" yelled Arturo in a hoarse voice. "What?" Quinn stood up and helped Arturo to his feet. He looked at the jet complucer and his mouth dropped open with surprise. Quinn rubbed the throbbing in his head. "That's odd." Wade and Jaime stood beside Quinn and the Professor. The girls looked at each other. "This is crazy! Why is a jet complucer here?" asked Jaime. She knelt down and began to reach out to touch it. A hand grabbed her and pulled her to her feet. "Hey!" It was Quinn. He placed a finger on her nose. "Don't touch it." he said as he tapped her nose. Jaime rubbed her nose and stuck her tongue out at Quinn. She crossed her arms and heard a faint barking sound. "Quinn." "Not now Jaime." said Quinn. "But.." Quinn turned and looked at her. "I said not now!" He turned his back to her and began to talk to Arturo. The barking got louder. A door slid open. Jaime pushed Quinn into a bunch of boxes and the rest of the slider hid inside the room. "Muffit! Come here you daggit!" Quinn let out a short cry in surprise. Jaime slammed her hand over his mouth. She poked her head out and saw a young man about her age. Quinn shook her hand off of his mouth and looked over the boxes. "Muffit, where did you go?" asked the boy. He whistled. Quinn heard a ruckus behind him. He turned his head and saw a furry mechanical dog like animal looking at him. Jaime turned her head and was going to move. Quinn held her down. "Don't move." Quinn whispered into her ear. "Muffy?" asked the boy. He walked right pasted Arturo and stepped on Wade's hand. She bit her lip and grabbed her hand. The daggit saw the blinking light of Quinn's timer. He picked it up with his mouth and ran off. Quinn chased after the daggit. "Hey!" yelled Quinn. "Give that back you stupid animal!" He ran into the boy and they fell on the ground. A sharp pain filled Quinn's head. Jaime ran out of her hiding place and chased after the daggit. "FELGERCARB!" yelled the boy. He rubbed his head and looked at Quinn. They both screamed. "What about just plain ouch?" retorted Quinn. "Boxey?" called a voice from outside. The door opened again. Two men stood in the doorway with a female. Jaime got the timer and slid it into her jacket pocket. "Got..." A big hand grabbed her and spun her around. "What's..." A laser gun was pointed at her head. "....your problem?" "I found the kid....oh my God! Andria! I'm sorry!" said one of the men. He had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. "Dad! I'm over here!" yelled a girlish voice. The man looked at Jaime with a bewildered look on his face. "Then, who am I holding?" A girl walked over to him. She went pale. "Oh my God!" She dropped her laser gun. Jaime kicked the man in the shin. The boy grabbed her and dragged her out of the room. "Let go of me... Noah Hathaway?" Jaime looked at a boy with brown hair, brown eyes, and tall body. "Who's Noah Hathaway?" asked Boxey. "Quinn!" yelled Jaime. "We are on Battlestar Galactica!" Quinn was dragged out by a man with brown hair and blue eyes. Quinn looked at Jaime with a strange look. "You got to be kidding me!" He got a closer look at his captor. "It's, it's Richard Hatch! This is really screwed up!" Arturo and Rembrandt walked out of the room the guy who grabbed Jaime before. "The Battlewhat Galactica?" Rembrandt said. "Hey, get you hands off my suit!" "Shut up and keep walking!" yelled the man. "Lt. Starbuck, please bring them to the cells and keep them there until Commander Adama has a chance to look at them." said one of the men. "Yes, Captain Apollo." He and the captain dragged the men down to the cells. "Boxey and Andria, bring the women to the confinement cells." "Yes father." said Andria. She dragged Wade down the corridor with Boxey right behind her with Jaime, who was trying to get away. * * * * * * Starbuck pushed Quinn into the cell. Rembrandt caught him before he hit the floor. "You okay buddy?" asked Rembrandt. He helped Quinn regain his footing. "I'm fine." Quinn sat down on one of the beds. A thought hit Quinn. "Oh no." "What is it, Mr. Mallory?" asked Arturo. He leaned against the wall. "Who has the timer?" asked Quinn in a quivering voice. "I don't." Rembrandt answered. "Neither do I. Maybe Wade or Jaime has it." replied Arturo. He smiled at Quinn. "Do worry yourself, my boy." Quinn noticed that he was having some trouble breathing. He gasped for air. Rembrandt looked at Quinn. "Hey, you okay?" Quinn fell to his knees on the hard ground and struggled to breath. His breathing was coming out hard and deadly slow. "Guards!" yelled one of the prisoners from across the way. "Guards!" Rembrandt crouched down beside Quinn and looked at him. "Professor, he's having an asthma attack!" Arturo crouched in front of Quinn and checked his heart rate. "My God, Rembrandt see if the guard is coming." Rembrandt looked down the hall and saw the two men with an elderly guy walking towards them. "Hey! You guys my friend is dying! Get some help for him!" The man with the blonde hair ran back down the hall while the other two ran to the cell. "What's wrong?" asked Apollo. He knelt down beside Quinn. "He's having an asthma attack." Arturo laid Quinn on his back and elevated his head with one of the silver pillows. "Commander, Dr. Salik is here." replied Starbuck. A man with a young woman with curly blonde hair ran into the room. "What do we got here, Commander?" asked the doctor. "This man," Adama pointed to Arturo, "says this young boy is having an asthma attack." Quinn's eyes rolled back and he fell into a deep, dreamless sleep..... SCENE TWO Jaime sat in the prison cell and looked at the timer. "This is nuts, Wade." Wade turned her head and looked at Jaime. "Can't you use you bibbi-bobbi boo on the cell?" "I can't do that kind of stuff for the last time! I can do witchy things." Jaime laid on her bed and looked at Wade. "Can you make Jerry O' Connell appear right over there?" asked Wade. She pointed to the cell door. "With a set of keys, of course." Jaime groaned and rolled over on her stomach. She proped her head on her hands and tapped her face. "I wonder how the guys are." The cell door opened and Rembrandt was shoved in, followed by Arturo. Jaime looked at them. "Where's Quinn?" asked Jaime. She swung her legs around the bed and looked at Rembrandt. "They took him away." said Rembrandt. He sat next to Jaime. "Where to?" Wade replied. She scouted over so Arturo could sit down. "The infirmary." Arturo dusted himself off. "What!" exclaimed Wade and Jaime. "He had serve asthma attack in our cell. They took him to Sick Bay." said Arturo. "Then, that idiot with the damned cigar took us over here." "You mean Starbuck?" said a voice from behind them. It was Andria. "Come on, you guys are going to the guest quarters. Commander's orders." Wade and Jaime stood up and walked out of the cell with Arturo and Rembrandt behind them. Andria locked the door and walked along side Arturo. "By the way, my father isn't that much of a idiot." "I'm dreadfully, madam." said Arturo. Andria pushed him with her laser gun. "Come on, I haven't got all day to put with your shenanigans! I have a boyfriend you know." Jaime felt like pushing Andria's lights out. She restrained herself and turned around. "Hasn't anyone ever told you are a real brat?" "Well, if they did, I'd shoot. Get moving, sister!" * * * * * * Quinn woke up and looked up at the ceiling. It was white and blurred up. He felt groggy and sick to his stomach. "You're up." said a voice from a distance. It sounded like a woman's. "I'm Cassiopeia. Everyone calls me Cassie in Sick Bay....that's where you are, you know." Quinn couldn't nodded. He was too tried and he couldn't think straight. "Water." "Okay, just one centar." said Cassie. She lifted his head and slipped a cup under his lips. Quinn drank the water and closed his eyes. "What time...is...it?" "1100 hectars." said Cassie. Quinn groaned. He forgot, they slid into the Battlestar Galactica. A cold rush entered his arm. An IV of course. He was sick. Quinn slowly feel asleep. * * * * * * The door slammed shut and Jaime kicked it. "I hate this! I'm stuck with a bunch of 70s sitcom characters and Quinn is somewhere on this stupid battlestar!" Rembrandt lead Jaime to the couch. "Hey girl, cheer up. I'm this place ain't that bad." "Mr. Brown's right, Miss Krishner. I'm sure Quinn is fine. This Galactica is probably ahead in everything...." "For 1979." interrupted Jaime. She looked in the bathroom. "Turbo flush ....um...interesting don't you think, guys? Oh wow! It's Turbo flush seat! " Wade raised an eyebrow. "It's a toilet seat for crying out loud!" Jaime poked her head out of the bathroom. "So?" She walked out with her arms crossed. "I think it's pretty funky!" Everyone in the room groaned. * * * * * * Dr. Salik looked at his clip board and put a check in out of the boxes. "Difficult breathing, near death trauma, mild coma....and dizziness." He looked at Commander Adama. "I'd say this young man is not human. I have never heard of an asthma attack in all of my years in medical school." Commander Adama looked at the young man laying on the bed. "He looks healthy. What about his companions?" "Oh...them. Two females and two males. They are very strange, sir." said Dr. Salik. "Let me see....Wade Welles is the one with red hair, Jaime Krishner...brown, Rembrandt Brown is that black man, and Professor Arturo is the fat old man." The commander paced the room. "Maybe we should send this boy on a Viper Route with Boxey?" The doctor shrugged. "We need to see how he feels. I mean, this young man has been through plenty for a lifetime." "Hi grandpa!" said Boxey. He smiled. "Hello Boxey...how long will this boy be like this, Salik?" "Until tonight at the least." "Wake him up and get him on the next Viper route." Adama turned to Boxey. "Hello my boy!" He led his grandson out of Sick Bay. "Why are you here?" "The others are in the Council Chamber like you asked." Boxey brushed a piece of hair out of his eyes. "That's good." Adama smiled. A loud noise thundered through the Galactica. Jaime woke up with a jolt and got out of the bed. She put on her shoes and ran to the door. It opened. "Yes!" whispered Jaime to herself. She ran into the corridor and fell to the ground after the same noise knocked her off her feet. Jaime stood up and slipped into one of the quarters. * * * * * * Quinn sat up and looked around his surroundings. He got out of bed and remembered the IV was in his arm. Quinn grabbed the tube and pulled it out as fast as he could. He let out a muffled scream and found his clothes. He undressed himself from the pants the nurses put on him. "Quinn!" whispered Jaime in a loud tone. She stood in the doorway with a rookie woman's uniform. Quinn spun around with a bed sheet around his waist. "Jaime! Jesus, knock next time...okay?" He pulled on his jeans. Jaime threw a rookie uniform at him. "Put this on, dodo head!" Quinn grunted with frustration. He pulled off his jeans and slipped the uniform on. "I feel just like Starbuck." He buttoned up his collar and put on the jacket. "Come on. There's a Cylon attack force coming in at two microns a minute." Jaime grabbed Quinn's hand and ran out of Sick Bay. * * * * * * The Viper Bay was filled with fighters. Quinn pulled Jaime behind a bunch of Viper parts. He looked around them and saw Boxey with Andria and two other people his age. "So?" asked Jaime. She pulled on Quinn's sleeve. "Well, it's a Cylon attack." He looked at Jaime. "You look nice." "Thanks....but that's not the point!" Quinn cupped his hand over her mouth. Two men walked past them. "Okay, look. Get back to the quarters. I'm going with them....now scoot!" Quinn began to crawl out of the hiding place. Jaime grabbed him and pulled him back inside. "What are you doing?" Jaime tossed him a Blue Squadron helmet. "I didn't come to get you for nothing. Come on!" She took out an elastic band for her pocket and pulled her hair into a ponytail. "That's my Jaime." Quinn put the helmet over his face and helped Jaime up. He spotted two lone Vipers. He ran over to one of them and got in. Jaime hopped into the one next to him. "So, how do you like being on a canceled TV show?" asked Quinn through the helmetcom. Jaime heard the canopy close overhead. "I like it. Now, how did your timer get on board here?" Quinn shrugged. "Bridge to Viper 7, do you read?" Quinn was shocked at first. "I read." "Okay, that's good." It was Athena. "Prepare for take off." Quinn saw the three switches. He flipped them one by one. "I'm ready." He pressed the throttle and his back hit the seat. He was in space in a matter of moments. "Jaime?" asked Quinn. "Right here." Jaime flew next to him. "Okay, now what are we suppose to do?" "I guess shoot down some Cylons." Quinn saw one coming towards him and he shot at it. It blew up. "Hey, this is easy, Jaime!" "Not if one is right behind you, Quinn." Jaime flew ahead of Quinn and turned her Viper around and shot down the Cylon fighter. "Thanks." Quinn noticed that the Vipers were flying towards a basestar. "What are they doing?" "Oh no!" screamed Jaime. "Quinn!" Quinn looked out of his window and saw four Cylons behind each other the Vipers. He fell against his seat with a groan. A laser fire came from around him. Boxey flew up and smiled. He motioned him to get back to Viper Bay. "Let's turbo home, Jaime!" said Quinn. He turned his Viper around and flew into Viper Bay. He jumped down from the Viper walked over to the ration rooms. Jaime followed him inside. She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him. "What was that for?" asked Quinn. He noticed the lights were on. "For old time's sake." replied Jaime. She felt Quinn's arms wrap around her waist. Someone knocked on the door. It was Boomer. He didn't look to pleased. Quinn and Jaime walked out of the room and went to the corridors. SCENE THREE "I'm ashamed of you both!" yelled Arturo as he paced the room. "You both could of gotten killed and let me remind you Mr. Mallory, we've had that happen three times!" Quinn blushed. He was back in his jeans, shirt, and sweater. "We are sorry, Professor." "Mr. Mallory, you know never to risk your life over stupid things like flying a Viper!" Arturo shook a finger at him. "I'm extremely disappointed you!" Quinn looked at Jaime and sighed. "Are you done yet?" "Yes! If you ever, ever done that again, I'll personal murder you!" Arturo walked out of the room and the door closed. Quinn looked at Jaime. He laid on the bed and put his hands under his head. "I thought it was fun." Jaime rolled on top of him. "What was fun?" "Flying a Viper and getting ourselves almost Cylon toast." He took Jaime's hands into his. "It was kinda stupid." Jaime said. Quinn shrugged. "Maybe Arturo's right. I shouldn't do those kinds of things, even after my asthma attack." "I wanted to ask you about that." Jaime sat on his stomach. "How are you feeling?" "Better." Quinn answered with a smiled. He put his hand into his jean pocket. "Since you and I are alone, I need to give you something." Jaime looked at Quinn with a stumped face. "What?" Quinn took her left hand and slid a ring on it. "I got this to show you how much I love and care about you." Jaime looked at the ring. "Quinn...." She bent down and kissed him. "....you are such a sweetheart!" Quinn smiled and pulled Jaime to him. "So, since you and I are in big trouble, do you want to do something?" Starbuck burst into the room. "Okay, you two, since you flew a Viper...you are joining us for a game of Pyramid. Come to the bunkers in let's say...twenty millicrons." Starbuck walked out of the room. Quinn and Jaime looked at each other and laughed. * * * * * * Wade looked around. "What is this place?" "A spaceship, DUH!" said Quinn. Boxey turned around. "Actually, it's the Battlestar Galactica." "That show go off the air in 1979, right?" asked Wade in a low voice. "What are you...crazy." Boxey looked at Wade with a puzzle face. Wade pointed to Quinn. "I'm Wade...he's crazy." Quinn frowned. He coughed a little. Jaime looked at him. "You okay?" asked Jaime. She rubbed his back. "It's just the smoke coming from the bunkers." Quinn searched his pocket for his inhaler. Starbuck opened the door with a cigar in his hand. He looked at Arturo. "You smoke?" Arturo shook his head. "No. I'm trying to stop." He walked by the man in a hurry and sat down. Rembrandt followed him. "Hey, Q-Ball and Jaime are acting strange lately." said Rembrandt. "Your point is very clear, Mr. Brown." answered Arturo. "Something fishy is going on around here." "Professor, if you weren't such a grump all the time you would understand." Wade said. "Understand what?" asked Arturo. He gave Wade a glare. "They are in love." whispered Rembrandt. Quinn sat on the lower bunk of a Blue Squadron fighter. He felt dizzy and unable to breath. He took out his inhaler and put it in his mouth. He pressed the button and breathed in the foul tasting medication that can out of it. He never had such a problem with his asthma. Jaime walked up to him and sat down. "Are you feeling all right? You look pale." "It's my asthma." Quinn said hoarsely. "It's never been this bad before. I'm feeling dizzy. I've had two black outs today and I feel so sick to my stomach." Jaime touch his hand. "Let's get you back to the quarters. You should rest. In two days we slid." Quinn stood up and looked at Jaime. "You stay here." Jaime began to protest. "I'm a big boy now, Jaime." Quinn bent down and kissed her forehead. He walked out of the bunkers. Jaime hugged her knees to her chest. Wade sat down next to her. "You are steady." "You can tell that much?" asked Jaime. She looked at the ring Quinn gave her. "I'm worried about him." "Why?" Wade laughed as Boomer yelled out in fury. "His asthma is bothering him." Jaime looked at her hands. Wade shrugged. "He won't die you know." * * * * * * Quinn was dressed in the uniform that Jaime had gotten for him. He snucked into Viper Bay. It was quite and dark. He thought he heard someone behind him. Quinn saw a bunch of cargo and hid behind them. He felt a liquid under his hand. Quinn turned his head and screamed. Someone pulled him up. It was Apollo. "Oh my God!" Quinn looked at his hand. "I didn't do it! I didn't do it!" Apollo grabbed Quinn's shoulders. "Calm down, I know you didn't kill him. He's been dead for three hours." Quinn looked at the dead body. Blood was all over the floor. He turned away and took a deep breath. Apollo led Quinn out of Viper Bay and went to the bunkers to get him cleaned up. * * * * * * "Tell me what happened again." Rembrandt said as he paced the room. He looked at Quinn. "I went into Viper Bay and I hid behind some of the cargo boxes. Then, I felt this liquid under my hand...." "We get the idea, Q-Ball." interrupted Rembrandt. He through a concern expression on his face. Quinn looked up and stared at his coffee Andria had made for him. He had changed back into his original clothes. "I wonder who did it." Jaime laid on her stomach on the couch. Boxey sat on the floor next to her feet. "Don't we all." Boxey looked at Quinn. "Well, my father and grandfather are having the security cameras checked and finding witnesses." He threw a ball across the room and Muffey chased after it. Quinn shrugged. He drank some coffee. "Well, maybe Jaime can use her hocus pocus and find out for us." He eyed Jaime. "Quinn!" She looked at Boxey. "What is he talking about?" asked Boxey. Andria sat down next to him and rested her head on his shoulder. "Okay, since Quinn brought it up, I'll tell you. We are sliders....people from a different dimension. We slide into worlds like our own and something they are always different. Well, anyways, I'm a witch and I know a few little tricks here and there." Jaime looked at Boxey. "Also, on our world, Battlestar Galactica was a TV show that went off the air in 1979." Boxey looked at Andria and shrugged. "So, how long do you have here?" "Two more days and I except Mr. Mallory will keep out of trouble." said Arturo. He smiled slyly at Quinn. "I will." Quinn frowned and drank some more coffee. He had to go back to Viper Bay without anyone knowing. SCENE FOUR Quinn took a flashlight and stuffed it into Jaime's knapsack. He looked over at Jaime sleeping on the couch. The blanket was coming off of her. He walked over to her, quietly, and put the blanket back on her. He kissed her forehead and left the room. * * * * * * Quinn entered Viper Bay. It was dark and cold. Quinn turned on his flashlight and shined it on one of the Vipers. He walked over to the Viper and peered inside. A hand grabbed him and pulled him inside. Quinn let out a cry for help, but he was too surprised "Look kid, you are a load of trouble and you shouldn't be here!" said a voice of a man. "Get off me!" Quinn pushed Starbuck and stood up. "You really shouldn't scare people like that." Starbuck jumped down from the Viper and took out his laser gun. He threw another one to Quinn. "Keep this incase you run into anyone." "Thanks....how do you use this thing!" He pressed a button and a laser flew right above Starbuck. "Like that, now be careful." Starbuck heard a ping. "How's there?" "It's me, Jaime." Quinn through the flashlight on Jaime and frowned. "What are you doing here?" "No, correct, what are you doing here?" Jaime grabbed the flashlight from Quinn and looked at Starbuck. "Oh, it's you." "You are too kind." Starbuck took out a cigar and lit it. A laser beam flew towards them and hit the floor. Starbuck shot back and grabbed the flashlight out of Jaime's hand. Jaime took out a laser gun and smiled at Quinn. "We are going to be in for a night, huh?" A laser beam land next to Jaime. She moved behind Starbuck. "Fast as you can be, you'll never catch me!" yelled a voice. Jaime ran over to the catwalk latter. She climbed up it and looked around. "Starbuck shine the flashlight up here!" called Jaime. The light shone on a black figure. Jaime fired at it and the figure came running towards her. Blood was coming out of the figure's stomach. He grabbed Jaime and fell over the catwalk with her in his arms. "Jaime!" Quinn dropped the knapsack on the ground and ran over to Jaime's body which was behind the cargo. He knelt down and checked for a pulse. Quinn sighed with relief. "Hello." said a voice from behind Quinn. He spun around and looked around him. Someone grabbed Quinn and held him down. A loud crack came from Quinn's ankle. He screamed out in pain, but it became muffled by a rather large hand. "Hey, is that girl all right, kid?" yelled Starbuck. He shined the flashlight in front of him and gasp. "Lt. Cole?" Lt. Cole had a laser gun up to Quinn's temple and his hand over Quinn's mouth. Quinn moaned with pain and Lt. Cole walked towards a Viper. "I killed that poor rookie, Starbuck. If you try to be heroic, this boy will die." "Can't you take me instead of him?" asked Starbuck. Lt. Cole hit Quinn in the back of his head with the butt of the laser gun. Quinn crumpled to the floor, unconscious. Lt. Cole leaned against the Viper. He laughed. "Loser. What a loser you are, Starbuck." Starbuck looked above him and Jaime behind Cole with a laser gun. She put it up to his head and a loud bang filled Viper Bay. Lt. Cole fell down the stairs and Jaime dropped the gun. She looked pale and weak. "Did I get him?" asked Jaime in a weak voice. She about to fall over. Starbuck rushed to Jaime and carried her to the floor of Viper Bay. Starbuck laid her on the floor and proped her head up with his jacket. He ran over to Quinn. "Hey buddy, wake up!" Starbuck shook Quinn's shoulders. "Hello? Anyone home?" Quinn opened his eyes slowly and sat up. "Where's Jaime?" "She's fine. I'm going to Med Tech in here." Starbuck helped Quinn to his feet and to where Jaime laid. "Stay put." Starbuck rushed out of Viper Bay. Quinn looked at Jaime and heard her breathing softly in the dark. He slipped his hand under hers and squeezed. "I guess Arturo is going to kill us." said Jaime. Quinn nodded. "Well, I wouldn't worry that much." SCENE FIVE Arturo, Wade, Rembrandt, Boxey, Andria, Apollo, and Adama ran into Sick Bay. They found Starbuck standing in one of the halls. He motioned them to follow him. The group came into a room. Quinn stood on crutches next to Jaime's bedside. They were talking. "Mr. Mallory!" yelled Arturo. He rushed up to Jaime. "You are in big trouble! Look at Jaime! Just take a good look at her!" "Arturo, it was my fault." said Jaime. She smiled at Quinn. Arturo smiled at Jaime. "I'm glad you are okay, my dear." He took her hand. Dr. Salik walked into the room with Cassie behind him. "Quinn suffered a fractured ankle and a very mild concussion. As for Jaime, a concussion, bruises, and a crack knee." He tapped Jaime's shoulder with a smile. "She just woke up from surgery." Jaime looked at Quinn with a frowned. She motioned him to bend down. "How are we going to slid?" Quinn shrugged. Dr. Salik shooed everyone out of the room except for Wade, Arturo, and Rembrandt. Jaime took the timer out of her knapsack and gave it to Arturo. Rembrandt picked up Jaime and watched the vortex open. He ran inside and disappeared. Wade followed them. Arturo handed the timer to Quinn and ran into the vortex. "Hey....wow!" Boxey stopped in the doorway. Quinn smiled and jumped through the vortex.... THE END
