Hotel Carillon -- Reunion Theme Song? "Dr. Charles Norris" : August 11, 1998 Okay, Randy's efforts were WONDERFUL (nice job on Sounds of Cylons, there, guy...). So as I was between tasks at work today, I was humming an old fave from about that time era and figured I'd spin off a version of it about the 20th coming up. Sadly, my work schedule prohibits my attendance, but maybe this will go in my stead. Some of you will have to blow the dust off this record in your minds, but the group that originally did this song was one of my childhood favorites (as I've pointed out before). Those of you that are my contemporaries in years will likely remember it. The rest of you, well, at least pretend ya like it. Enjoy. Chuck WILL YOU BE AT THE REUNION TONIGHT? (to the tune of "I"d Really Love to See You Tonight" by England Dan & John Ford Coley) Hello, yeah, it's been a while Not much; how 'bout you? We all know why we're here I guess I really just wanted to meet with you. And I was thinkin' maybe later on We could get together for a while It's been such such a long time And I really do miss Dirk's smile CHORUS Yeah, we're talkin' 'bout revivals And we know how it's changed our lives And there's warnin' of battlestars around Will you be at the Reunion tonight? We could go walkin' through convention halls Or talk a stroll along the booths Or stay at home and watch "B.G." You see it really blows the pogies outta me-eeee (Repeat Chorus) BSG's so promising And we've kept it alive We've all seen that show before And now we hope that it will survive (Repeat Chorus to fade...)
