This one is my interpretation of the Theme song for Xanadu, which I call Planet Earth. Imagine that instead of the mythical place of Xanadu, this song was about the real place called Earth. Imagine that the colonists are singing about Earth, voicing their hopes that it is real, and that one day they will find a home. Imagine instead of singing the song Xanadu, they sing Planet Earth. PLANET EARTH by Jenny Nicholson A place, our people want to go, cos in our hearts we all know There is a Planet Earth At night, it lives within our dreams, is it what it seems? There is a Planet Earth? A million planets shine and the Earth is there, somewhere A blue, green world is there and it's waiting for me, to set me free Planet Earth, Planet Earth (soon we'll be there) on Planet Earth Planet Earth, Planet Earth (soon we'll be there) on Planet Earth Planet Earth, the thirteenth colony its Planet Earth The Earth, the long lost colony, that's where we want to be On Planet Earth The dream that lived through all the wars, It has survived because, there is a planet Earth A million planets shine and the Earth is there, somewhere A blue, green world is there and it's waiting for me, to set me free Planet Earth, Planet Earth (soon we'll be there) on Planet Earth Planet Earth, Planet Earth (soon we'll be there) on Planet Earth [repeat] Now that we're near, we mustn't fear Planet Earth Now that we're near, we mustn't fear Planet Earth Planet Earth THE END Jenny Nicholson May 14, 1998 From the Land down under (Australia)
